Re: A Big "Thank You" to mockers from a Christian
I am an autistic.

Incredibly high functioning. You sure it's not asperger's?
 Quoting: Phydeau

I haven't bothered to have the dx updated. I was diagnosed low functioning as a child. I was severe as a child. Though I personally believe that it was trauma-based, and not necessarily what you might call a proper diagnosis.

However, I have a strong resentment of calling us ass burgers. It's simply inappropriate and is a deliberate setup for these kids to be psychologically tormented by their peers (as if kids needed any help being cruel).

But I am definitely outside the norm. There are a lot of social issues for me. I know and recognize that people often see me as being angry even when I'm not, but I have not managed (despite years of trying) to find ways to speak that are both honest, and not angry-seeming.

I have worked extremely hard for a large part of my life to be more "normal," and have used the "dysfunction" of my autism to follow the patterns of social interaction.

I see human interaction and life like a system, a pattern, and that's how I manage to seem "high functioning." I also see the patterns and flow and rhythm of the English language, and that is why I'm able to use that with some degree of capability.

I also had a speech impediment because I have an unusually large torus. I now speak normally (although with a nasal twang), but I still technically have a speech impediment. I've simply learned how to talk around it.

So I am certainly on the low functioning side... except that I've learned to use it to become high functioning.

I cannot do mathematics, and no matter how hard I've worked at it, I cannot overcome that. This is one of the greatest disappointments I have in myself.

But I have come to understand that, between certain manners of speaking that I've not been able to undo, and the mathematics issue... there are simply some things that expose my autism despite the dedicated effort I have put into it.

All I can do is to keep trying, I guess.

I never said that, angel. C'mon, don't go that direction. Guess it was reason enough for removal, huh? Removed in turn.

But I am definitely outside the norm. There are a lot of social issues for me. I know and recognize that people often see me as being angry even when I'm not, but I have not managed (despite years of trying) to find ways to speak that are both honest, and not angry-seeming.

One of the very reasons I asked what I did.

Some skilled degree, I might add.

I also had a speech impediment because I have an unusually large torus. I now speak normally (although with a nasal twang), but I still technically have a speech impediment. I've simply learned how to talk around it.

So I am certainly on the low functioning side... except that I've learned to use it to become high functioning.

 Quoting: Sandi_T

My math totally sucks. I can barely handle long division. I was gifted with strong linguistic skills and a natural understanding of sciences. However, that darn math thing just eludes me.

Of course, it doesn't help that anything more than 4 digits goes "screwy" on me.

But I have come to understand that, between certain manners of speaking that I've not been able to undo, and the mathematics issue... there are simply some things that expose my autism despite the dedicated effort I have put into it.

All I can do is to keep trying, I guess.

I would say, for the most part, you've been quite successful in your goals.

Dear disaffected Democrats: Welcome to the Libertarian Party, we think you will find our social tolerance delightful. However in exchange for this, you're going to have to find a way to be ok with people keeping their guns and more of their money.

Dear disaffected Republicans: Welcome to the Libertarian Party, we think you will find our small government economic policies to your liking. However in exchange you will have to find a way to be ok with "the gays" getting married.

Snacks are on the table, help yourself. Please introduce yourself to someone on "the other side", you might be astonished just how much you actually have in common.

Oh, no, I didn't mean you. I meant that they named this particular issue "aspergers," which kids always translate to ass burgers. Hell, even a lot of adults do it.

And I don't care who they named it after. They should have had the sense God gave a freaking termite, to not set up people with this issue for such VICIOUS spite.

That wasn't aimed at you at all, it was aimed at the complete moran who decided this stupidity was a good idea.

Thank you. :)

I often dismiss the whole "you're angry" or "you're not loving" business... because the people saying it have no idea at all just how far I've come.

They compare me to themselves, instead of to myself 'before.' Which is just not realistic after all I've experienced.

It has taken a LOT of work for me to get here. I've struggled to be able to function in society even slightly.

So I thank you for noticing, and for your kind words.

I'm aware there were/are more than one tribe. However, I'm not familiar enough with the specifics to engage in conversation about it.
 Quoting: Phydeau

No time like the present to learn.

There is a lot of information in what I wrote. I hope you don't ignore it because you feel you aren't "familiar enough with the specifics."

Sandi seems to have done quite well. I am a literary student, and her writing skills are better than most people, with her claims of autism.

Re: A Big "Thank You" to mockers from a Christian
To have your questions answered, you can refer to the post I made with the example of a mathmatical equation.

I am an autistic. I can barely do math at a 4th grade level, if I have help.

If you want to explain to me in a way that I can personally understand, a mathematics answer will not help you.

Furthermore, from what I DO understand of your post, you think that he has to post all the method that he used to arrive at his conclusions, as if spirituality is science and can be proven by the method of arrival.

Yet the fact of spirituality is not a mathematical equation. Everyone's spiritual journey is, and has to be, different. Because everyone's life is different.

Rev 9:20 And the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and golden, and silver, and bronze, and stone, and wooden idols (which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk).

Rev 16:2 And the first went and poured out his vial on the earth. And a bad and grievous sore fell on the men who had the mark of the beast, and on those who worshiped his image.

Rev 16:8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial onto the sun. And it was given to him to burn men with fire.
Rev 16:9 And men were burned with great heat. And they blasphemed the name of God, He having authority over these plagues. And they did not repent in order to give Him glory.
Rev 16:10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom became darkened. And they gnawed their tongues from the pain.
Rev 16:11 And they blasphemed the God of Heaven because of their pains and their sores. And they did not repent of their deeds.

Be patient Brothers and Sisters. Keep the commandments of the Almighty, and prepare to relinquish your life to receive a resurrection into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN, which is the 1,000 year reign with Yahushua the Messiah. Coming soon.

Corinth I am from the other thread, I would like to ask you a couple of questions, and in return you can get off your chest what you obviously want to say. If there were some place to facilitate that instead of an open forum that would be fine.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, however I'm going to try a different route.

De.4:29
But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God,
thou shalt find him,
if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
De.4:30
When thou art in tribulation,
and all these things are come upon thee,
even in the latter days,
if thou turn to the LORD thy God,
and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
De.4:31
(For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;)
he will not forsake thee,
neither destroy thee,
nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

The ones standing here survive with their lives intact.

Re15:2
And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire:
and them that had gotten the victory over the beast,
and over his image,
and over his mark,
and over the number of his name,
stand on the sea of glass,
having the harps of God.

The image is a false throne that Satan and Co. bring with them when the enter the glorious land.

Da.11:16
But he that cometh against him shall do according to his own will,
and none shall stand before him:
and he shall stand in the glorious land,
which by his hand shall be consumed.

Da.11:41
He shall enter also into the glorious land,
and many countries shall be overthrown:
but these shall escape out of his hand,
even Edom,
and Moab,
and the chief of the children of Ammon.
