Discouraged after move to Tampa, Florida. Need creative job.

I created a company that involves moving. Your job is to sit at home and make calls from a list I provide. You should make around $800-1000 per week. Are you a good salesperson with a great phone voice??? INTERESTED?

I was brought here with a higher purpose - but I'm still wanting to learn what that was exactly. All spiritual roads led me here.

I had a pretty great job in my former state FAR out west. But since being here I haven't felt like I'm even on the trail of anything...it took nearly everything I had to get here and now I'm getting beat down by my own desire to succeed, but being aimless about it.

Anyone in the area know of creative work that's available that may/may not be posted somewhere on the interwebz? I have an amazing woman I want to take care of who has a great job, but she's ready to leave and we've been talking about having a baby in the future. I want to make that happen...

I'm literally humbled by the entire experience. I've only been here a week-and-a-half, but it feels like an eternity because I want somewhere to put all of my waning energies.

Please, GLP...find a way to guide me - positively. I'm already in the dumps enough today.

OP are you a idiot, why did you move here? I have skills out the ass, but here in Tampa they are worthless. I have been here for 12yrs and still cant find any work do to Mexicans and now the Mexicans will be your boss and treat you like pond scum, my old Mexican boss told me he wanted to fire me but corporate said no, then he told me he was going to kick my ass off property. I was born and raised in Tampa, Fl. I lived there 50 years and then moved away. Its too bad you moved there. Leave while you still can. You would have been better out west than there. When disaster strikes you will not be able to get out of Florida ...you will be trapped. Don't be seduced by the beaches and the palm trees and year around warm weather. You won't have a future anywhere in Florida.

Sorry to have to tell you that but you had better put all those energies into getting out of there and now is not time to even be thinking about having a baby.

Don't you realize that we are at the precipice of WW3. It ti going to become hell on earth and down hill from here.

You had better think about surviving instead of dreaming.

As far as being in the dumps.......get over it and focus all your attention and energy into packing up and moving out fast.

I don't know what "spirits" your were listening to but they were apparently the wrong ones.

When disaster comes you need to be AT LEAST 2000 feet in elevation. I am above 5000 feet where I am. And you need to be away from any and every coast line.

I'm more of a writer. I did copywriting in my old hometown and made decent money.

But I also do visual art as well, but have never made the transition over to the computer (do it by hand).

I'm a versatile writer, though.

I went to Tampa Craigslist/ community and found a posting about a monthly Art and Soul Festival. Check that out, meet up with like-minded people. Lots of other interesting (creative minded) ads. Then I looked at jobs available in art/media/design and there were plenty.
When you lose confidence, and fear creeps in to the inner sanctuary, you begin to subconsciously repulse opportunities. When within you are still, and you allow yourself to feel expansive, happy free and abundant regardless of your external seeming limitations, opportunities will present themselves like magic. It's like we are always chanting a mantra whether we are aware of it or not. Yours might be 'shit shit shit I need a job! Make a conscious mantra and chant it within- like 'Every day, in every way, I enjoy abundant creative work for abundant pay'

those that are telling him to leave. Stop. There will be no place any better than the other. Peace means a relationship with your higher power, and a knowing that he has your back no matter where you are. We will meet our maker, no matter where or when.

I can tell you that after I moved from Tampa, Fl.....I did move back to Florida but on the east coast.

I too was only there for one week and turned right around and moved out of Florida.

It is his choice and he really wants to go or he wouldn't be asking.

Yeah, he is kicking himself in the britches at the cost and so did I but long term down the road it was a good thing.

Wow... why all the hating on Tampa?
I live on the beach in between Clearwater and St. Pete and I love it here. Check out Gulfport art district and down town St. Pete for inspiration.

The beaches and water clarity improve immensely once you cross the Skyway bridge.
Burn a weekend day and drive to Anna Maria... Trust me.

Gasparilla is coming soon... just you wait!

Tampa and the surrounding area is an excellent tourist destination. I recommend you setup a small shop to do hand drawn design work for major tourist attractions, flier designs, shop signs, and other promotional artwork if you are talented enough to do so. There should be no shortage of work in the area for that sort of thing.

I could tell you where to get a job very quickly that makes very good money but I can already tell you wouldn't follow up on it. There'd be some excuse.
