2/3rds of annual rainfall in two weeks is normal here. The rainy season is short. There have been years that we received 3/4 of the annual rainfall in the month of March alone. Again, no major flooding in Butte County. No mass evacuations. Normal rainfall so far. No excess reservoir releases. Normal suspect roads are flooded and closed. Happens every year. So far, a nothingburger.

That's why they declared a state of emergency. Your own standard for classifying the storm as historic or not. How does your foot taste?

It is normally distributed through the months of November up to sometimes May. This storm has smashed monthly rainfall totals. By "seasonal average", one can safely assume we mean the wet season. Literally the only difference is that the governor declared the state of emergency for the counties you list while the board of supervisors declared an emergency for Butte. The logical conclusion is that you think Newscum is smarter than a local BOS.

Sure, many are seasonal closures. Which means they happen every year. Others are closed due to flooding, which HAPPENS EVERY YEAR.

Again, the road closures in Butte County currently are normal for this area during this time of year. The rainfall is normal for this time of year. There is no major flooding or mass evacuations going on currently. Rainfall is below seasonal average. There is no doom here currently.
