The 2014-18 average for corn planted by June 2nd is 96%, so planting is off 30.2% in comparison. Corn planting has been at an all-time low percentage for the last three reports and remains behind schedule in 17 of the 18 states monitored. Soybean planting is behind in 16 of the 18 key soybean-producing states, according to the report. So far, just 39% of soybean planting has taken place, compared to the five-year average of 79% by June 2nd, meaning soybean planting is off 50.6%." Add to that soybeans, and you are talking about massive grain shortages. Quoting: Cheyenne 6 million acres of corn produce, on average, 54 billion pounds of dry kernel corn. That's 168 pounds of corn per every person in the US that will not exist this next year. Add to that 4 million acres of soybeans potentially not planted. That would be 34 pounds per person lost. It's not like all that corn would go to people food. Corn goes into ethanol and animal feed. like about 2/3. Then there's high fructose corn syrup, which we could do without, and corn oil, ditto. Soy is a terrible food. Better off without it. We'll be OK. *** Good deeds bring rewards, bad actions bring troubles. That is a law of the universe. *** |

Adjust your diet, you don't need to eat as much as you think you need. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10485453 Agreed. From the article: "The food that we are eating right now is from past production. The crops that are being grown now represent food that we will be eating in the future, and right now it looks like a whole lot less food will be produced than we expected. That means that food prices will start going up, and they will probably keep going up for the foreseeable future. We are moving into extremely uncertain times, but most Americans don’t seem to understand this yet." [link to endoftheamericandream.com] Food, grain, and grain-derived products will go up. So one wonders what impact 54 billion pounds of lost corn will do to the beef industry. While cattle can roam around and eat grass, industrial-raised hogs and chickens do not. Some 235 billion pounds of grain (of all types) are fed to these three species each year. We are looking at a loss of 202 billion pounds in corn and soybeans combined. It's significant. That may not be the case. Many acres have been planted that were marginal for growing due to the moisture. From the original article: "In Keota, Iowa, Lindsay Greiner sowed his 700 acres of corn toward the end of April — and then wasn’t able to get into his soaked fields for five weeks. He’s expecting much lower yields this year than last. The crop right now is yellow. “It should be green,” he said. “It looks so bad.” [link to endoftheamericandream.com] 100% Natural Unvaxxed Human Being |

Natural corn or gmo corn? If gmo corn, then good news. If natural corn, then yes, not good , and guess it's time to drop tariffs and import non gmo corn from Russia.
