Thanks for that and your posted pespectives. One of the benefits of [old] age/retirement is that you have the time to stop and analyze what you have already learned while embracing those things still awaiting your attention.
As a much yonger man, I accepted more things at face value because that's pretty much the way things were 50 years ago. We generally believed what we were told, even when grim reality suggested otherwise. Were we naive to do so? ABSOLUTELY! But perhaps we also had more to believe in!
In that sense all of the social unrest we witnessed tempered us to survive in a world even as corrupted as it has it has become today... where I now tend to question EVERYTHING.
