I love my new Model 3... but now the app won’t refresh, won’t let me sign in, and says I have no vehicle. I’ve been on hold for tech support for an hour. Is my new car a red brick already? 11:21 PM - Sep 2, 2019 Last Edited by beeches on 09/04/2019 07:00 AM Liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face – Thomas Sowell |

Numerous Tesla owners allegedly experienced this today as they got locked out of the car because the app was apparently down for maintenance. Several users took Twitter to pour out their agony. Some of them were logged out of the app and weren’t able to use it to unlock their cars. Some users are now reporting that the app is back up. However, there’s no word from Tesla on what caused the outage. We’ve reached out to the company, and we’ll update the story if we hear back. Now that's funny. 5* |

Quoting: Geraldgar there are.... but you must have them handy. not left in the car or at home... this took people by surprise. Tech will always fail you eventually, usually at a most importune time. Being caught by surprise only means you are too careless to prepare for the inevitable. This is the way the world ends. This is the way the world ends. This is the way the world ends. I don’t care for Tesla, but if the company provides alternatives and the owners don’t take advantage of them, that’s on them. Same reason I take my house keys with me every time I leave the house, just in case the power is out and the garage door doesn’t work. When you sell it, you have to tell Tesla, and they will give those rights to a different person. And you can't take it anywhere to get repaired except Tesla, and they can charge anything they want for any repair. They can deny charging, access, anything. And they can steer your car into a semi if you post stuff they don't like on GLP. Forget that they track your movements --- every word said in those cars is computer voice recognized to ascii and added to your file. Last Edited by confused_but_not_idiot on 09/04/2019 08:59 AM I may be confused, but I am not an idiot. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30245872 Get back in the old folks home, we don't need you. Technology is a lithium battery thats highly flammable in a crash??all it takes is a tap, or no tap. Teslas have turned into a fireball in the parking lot Do not pass Go, try again. Theres better alternatives than a highly flammable lithium battery |
