I have had a similar idea many years ago where your computer is your web server. Of course there are problems with this, people need to know what you have if they are searching. That's what Google does, it just crawls the web and makes searching what your looking for easier by linking to that info. Everyone can turn a laptop into a server and host their own webpage or content but if it's not indexed in a search engine then no one will know it's there unless by word of mouth. The solution is a search engine but you need servers strategically placed that continually crawl and update the content. I hate Google's censorship. They are evil for restricting freedoms in that way.

A network that turns a spare computer or part of your computer into a p2p BitTorrent server also needs to be protected from hackers, and people would need to be continually connected to offer their bandwidth to be shared in transferring files, something that servers do directly. It would have to become very popular right away. In some cases people's IP would need to be protected so they can enjoy true freedom from oppressive governments.

I hope whatever you're doing is beneficial and works and becomes popular and aids in freedom.

Anthropologic/political terms can't be applied here. It's individual nodes communicating mathematically to arrive at consensus of the truth of an occurrence. It's not arriving at theoretical subjective shit like "red is better than blue".. it's coming to agreement that something actually real measurable and confirmable occurred. It's a distributed ledger (like an accountant would keep), not a distributed book of opinions. The Federal government does it 10,000x per day, but it doesn't ask other parties whether it's valid or not, it's a one-node-network.

If everyone but one person calculates and agrees that 1+1=2, should that one person hold everyone else back from proceeding onward with relative certainty that 1+1 DOES equal 2? No, nobody would get anywhere. That's not collectivism, it's common sense.
