Now I'm going to go wash my hair and tidy up...dont want them finding my body all nasty...i,guess if I were torn to shreds it wouldn't matter tho lmao Congratulations on the power MOVE! Weird cuz I found out one of my direct ancestors is General John morgan , Confederate hero..ive always loved the south and civil war history so I was thrilled about 5 years ago to learn this...cant stand the b.s. and hate against whites up north...my kids were harassed and we are minority too, Cherokee...just can't tell by our looks. I'll admit I don't have much in common with folks here, but I never want to live anywhere else again.,on 55 acres, shoal creek runs thru the property, have our own mountain, I'm a widow alone 10 years now (I'm 49). Struggle financially but my boys help me and I'll stay here as long as I possibly can, I've lived in 10 states and nothing compares to the beauty here, peace out here, or ample sunshine I love so much. Im an 18 year glper, I know what's coming (ultimate doom), so I moved my family way out here so they would have a chance. Hope I didn't derail the thread. I have no local friends at all abd its nice to talk No derailment. We know what's coming also, so we bought a basement house and the closest neighbor is 1/4 mile away. Glad you like it here! |

How many category 5 hurricanes might we expect in the Atlantic basin this year? 6 have been entered into the historical record over the last 4 years and 2 of those years marked up 2. Might we see 3 this year??? Ocean temps are not cooling as much as they should and water has become considerably more acidic. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77222866 United States 01/11/2020 11:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Southeast has unique weather because of the rocky mountains to the West and the Warm air from the gulf. When the cold air from the Rockies meets the warm air from the Gulf we get bad storms. It's not abnormal for this region. We can have really bad storms any time of the year here. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77736647 United States 01/11/2020 11:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My mom lives in St Clair county and my daughter lives in Shelby county. This set up reminds me of April 2011. We had debris in the air in Alabaster, when my daughter and I lived there then. The debris was from the tornado that hit Tuscaloosa. We were fortunate. All we lost was power for 3 days. There were 238 people killed in AL that day. I'm praying this is nothing like that. |

Time to wake up folks...extreme weather events only get worse from here. This. The weather seems fucked up everywhere. I'm in Pennsylvania and it's going to be 60 today. Not all that unusual in itself to have a one winter day like this but I'm sure it's been well above average temperature this winter. We average about 70 inches of snow a winter. Right now I'd say we're at about 5-10 inches... |

Always keep a hydraulic jack inside so you can raise the roof for air and escape if necessary. Water, and a flashlight too, and don't forget a fully charged cell phone. |
