I have seen it 70 degrees and sunshine in the morning and by noon snowing so hard they had to let school out. I'm talking about the well defined squall line. That's unusual for January but pretty standard for Spring. I'm in Mobile and I've seen the temperature drop 40 degrees in 6 hours when a cold front passes. That's not unusual at all. Wish we would get snow more than once every 10 years. I enjoy watching everyone freak out. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 74493412 United States 01/11/2020 01:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My mom lives in St Clair county and my daughter lives in Shelby county. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77736647 This set up reminds me of April 2011. We had debris in the air in Alabaster, when my daughter and I lived there then. The debris was from the tornado that hit Tuscaloosa. We were fortunate. All we lost was power for 3 days. There were 238 people killed in AL that day. I'm praying this is nothing like that. Wow. We had stuff from Tuscaloosa lad in our yard in trussville. Yes, I'm on the road that 15 peoppe were killed in st, Clair county...the damage is still here in many places...the trees on many of these mountains look like toothpicks sticking out of the dirt from a distance, hundreds of bald , dead pine trees. That was a horrible day wasn't it. I'll never forget it. They are saying tornados are crossing into Alabama now. I wasn't here but I still recall the day,.. I was in Ohio watching the weather channel live that day, watching it unfold...i had no clue this is where it happened until a month after moving here the kids and I took a long drive...doen the other end of my long country road was damage from years earlier, including fkundations of houses that were blown away,,,my,son googled it and we figured out it was here! It still feels creepy driving down towards where all those people died. Winding picking up but no storms yet here , it's just after noon, |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 70225178 United States 01/11/2020 01:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Bessemer Alabama here, already got the yard ready, chickens/dogs put up, just waiting for it to hit. So far just extremely windy and light rain. Y’all be safe. Quoting: Bagel_Dog The only time I've been to Bessemer is once when my old GMC Sierra had a hole in the radiator , I had to stop at AutoZone , we were passing thru. I bought that stop leak stuff like ny son told me to over the phone, and the black employee claimed I gave him a ten dollar bill even tho I gave him a 20...refused to give me all my change back...i said whatever...i was surrounded by thugs...went out and quickly got to fixing my truck, had my minor kids with me..scary...while I'm doing so I see that black dude riding away quickly on his bike! The other employees came out and looked around wondering where he went...!!! I have no doubt that guy went straight to the crack house with my ten dollar bill he stole...never again will I stop in that fucking zoo of a city....too close to Birmingham. I'm not racist at all but damn!!! Haha yeah, that’s bessemer. Technically I’m in McAdory but Bessemer is the closest small city. Isn't Bessemer where the missing woman, Paighton Houston, was found, buried in a shallow grave? Funeral was yesterday. Former addict was last seen at the Tin Roof in Birmingham with co-workers. I've been following the story...no updates, just a lot of rumors. Anything new? I hate unsolved mysteries. Not sure but close by if not...im a woman too..im 40 minutes from bham |
