Quoting: Armchair General It doesn't move, or rattles at idle. If you're not gentle seating the converter you can break the pump. If the bolts aren't tight or the flexplate is cracked it'll rattle and clank from the bellhousing area. |

I did mine at 100,000 miles along with filter. The fluid was expensive ($19 a qt). To me Life Time means until the transmission fails due to bad oil. Its a scam. Quoting: John B 76505050 100,000 is a good service interval. Most OEM fluids are synthetic and the filters are oversized in "lifetime" fill transmissions. But clean oil never killed anything. |

Do I have to take it somewhere for either 1. expensive detailing to clean out car mess, or 2. turn off horn and try to charge car enough to drive it somewhere to get a prognosis of what to do with it. Am very depressed over it. Had to borrow brother's spare car to get to work. It's been 3 months now and he's anxious to get his car back. Don't have a lot of $, need help. Had a general misfire condition and had the valves adjusted so now all good. However the cam shaft was found to have some pitting/corrosion. If the pitting continues, what will the symptoms be ? Smoke? Rough running? Currently runs smooth as silk, thanks! |

Quoting: JimmyBones Recently after we put a full tank of gas in it I started it to go to work and the car was running fine going down the street. I started to hit the throttle and it simply did not accelerate. Almost like it wasn't getting gas. I feathered the gas a few more times and nothing. Coasted to the stop sign and stopped. Feathered it a bit more and it started running fine again. Bad gas? Air filter? Fuel filter? You might have picked up some water, or if you're a compulsive nozzle clicker trying to round to the next dollar you overfilled the tank. Overfilling allows liquid fuel to enter the evap vapor system and saturate the charcoal canister with liquid gas. Then every time the purge valve opens the engine gets a shot of raw fuel and stalls. This will eventually clear itself out but you'll hate the car in the meantime. Pull out the charcoal canister and see if it's heavy. drain it out if it's full of gas and let it lay in the sun a while. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20842745 Probably has a half melted terminal somewhere. Get under the passenger side dash and give the connectors for the blower motor and resistor a wiggle. I've replaced the passenger side wire harness and blower motor. And found the wiring schematic and wire brushed all grounds, then added washers for better ground contact. All paint removed and contact surfaces cleaned with alcohol. |
