Yep... First time parents. First child is protected at all cost. Second child not so much (The jitters are over). Third child is raised by the first child while the second child feels left out. Don't worry about what's going on in China. Live everyday at it fullest with your children. Wash your hand. Clean everything, boil your bottles. If the baby has a fever it may be baby teeth coming in or water getting in to the ears causing infection from bathing. Don't live in fear. Oh, one more thing! Congratulations to the both of you.

Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country,
don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy.

Long time amateur prepper, first time dad here. My wife and I have been stocking supplies for years and have about 6 months of food, first aid and propane. We just our first son and are clueless on special preparations needed for them. ESP re: first aid. They can’t take a lot of the same stuff as we can. Any ideas?

Some women can't breastfeed.

Well then I obviously wouldn't be talking about those women.

For example, if you CAN'T breastfeed, DON'T breastfeed...because you CAN'T thus...

DON'T.

For Gods sake do not overcook and no higher than 325deg for 3 hrs. Baste every hr with apple cider vinegar.

Hope this helps.

My bad.

Some people refuse to believe it can't happen, that women are just being lazy, or something. Glad you aren't one of those.

In my experience any woman who can breastfeed, does. I don't think I've ever met one who could but used formula anyway.

This coronavirus is indicating as viral pneumonia.
Here’s a good link for remedies to help young children with pneumonia but if you read through, and through the comments, you’ll see there’s preventative measures too.

Lol, I just realized I bothered explaining myself to someone who thinks non breastfeeding women's (by choice, not circumstance) children should be culled for being tards.

I don't think I understand your position on the subject. You feel that strongly that women should breastfeed, but also accept many can't?

Re: I have a newborn at home. What are preparations I can do specifically for children this young?
Breastfeed. Vitamin D3 drops. Vitamin C powder to bowl tolerance. Lots of water. Pre and probiotics (a good yogurt or the powder). I haven't read to see how old baby is sorry. When my 9 month old got the flu with us 2 years ago... she and our then 3 yr old faired better than us adults! They're unvaccinated as well. They always fair illness better than my husband and I. We only used dye free motrin when their fevers got to 105 during flu. Otherwise fevers are great to let ride out. Make the body generally inhospitable for viruses. Again, not sure how old baby is but make sure if at age where he or she can have it in minced form or what have you... healthy animal fats! God bless you all and I understand the protective feeling believe me. Rest assured though, NO MATTER WHAT, God's got your baby. You can not save the most important aspect of your child... their soul... only He can do that. We are human... there's really only so much we can do. We can't truly trust in ourselves, but ultimately in God only. I commend you though as you sound like a lovely Dad! Keep it up guys! hf

Op relax. SAR was huge when our son was born 16 years ago. My husband a science teacher I swear did not let my son leave the house except for a well-baby checkup for four months.

We changed and washed our hands and clothes as soon as we came home for the day. The kid never got sick until he got his vaccines when he was a year old.

When we had baby number two, she went everywhere with us and never got sick until maybe she was three years old. So relax. Just wash your hands frequently and sterilize the nipples.

Lock the child in its crib at night. Many prey on their parents. Motion detectors help as well. They seem innocent but will slash your throat in your sleep

OP. Get the grandparents on SKYPE and tell them under certain conditions there will be no visiting. In your own words of course.

Neighbors, neighborhood kids, no one is allowed into a clean quarantined closed off area. Under ALL circumstances. Strict boundaries and borders and rules!!!

Read great books to them everyday. Softly. Let them know there's more than all the chatter and sounds. Turn the pages with them. By the time they are two they may not be speaking. But they will be reading. Play music too. Be smart.

You feel so strongly it should be done, but acknowledge that it often can't be.

On one hand you say tards that don't need to be culled anyway, on the other you give a pass to the... Still tards?... That don't have the option.

Like either it's serious or isn't.

Idk, I'm probably reading way too much into your yard statement.

Or your yard statement was simply too harsh.
