So today put a smile on my face, as most of your know we install docks, store boats etc. This morning I was out working when the office called me, there was a gentleman on hold who wanted his boat in the water before the weekend.

Being memorial weekend and the fact that we started working 3 weeks late means there is no chance this is going to happen.

Well, our office personnel had explained this to the man and he replied: “I am the husband to the governor, will this make a difference?”

As you can imagine, that does make a difference, that would put you at the back of the line!!!

Needless to say, our Governor and her husband will not be getting their boat for memorial day.


Too good not to share, I love it when karma comes around, even in small doses.

For the first time since the mask order went into affect, today when I ran to Kroger’s half the people were not wearing masks and a few of the workers there had a mask hanging off their ear

Lawmaker from Detroit sues Whitmer, fellow Democrats over censure after she met with President Trump


State Rep. Karen Whitsett, D-Detroit, filed a federal lawsuit Thursday against Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and several fellow Democrats, claiming violations of free speech and defamation.

Specifically, Whitsett claimed Whitmer and the 13th Congressional District Democratic Party Organization sought to deprive her of her right to engage in protected speech after she publicly thanked President Donald Trump for his suggestion of using the drug hydroxychloroquine to treat her coronavirus case.

According to the lawsuit, Whitsett says she also received a text message from Whitmer on April 19 regarding the meeting with Trump.

"You’re entitled to your opinion, I’m just disappointed you’d take your theories public without seeking to get answers first. Take care,” Whitmer is accused of saying via text.

Jonathan Kinloch, the chair of the 13th Congressional District Democratic Party Organization said he had not been served with the lawsuit and had yet to read it when reached for comment.

“It’s probably full of banter and bullcrap," Kinloch said.

“The core question is, does she intend on operating as a Republican while she was elected as a Democrat?” Kinloch asked.

“She has shown herself not to remain interested in being a Democrat.

Maybe she should consider the suggestion from President Donald J Trump, to become a Republican," Kinloch said.

“If it walks like a duck, if it quacks like a duck, then it’s a Republican duck.”


The organization also accused Whitsett of: “'Endangering the health, safety, and welfare of her constituents, the City of Detroit, and the State of Michigan’ by appearing at a meeting with the President of the United States of America to discuss her experience with the COVID-19 virus and subsequent treatment."

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said she censors herself when speaking publicly about President Donald Trump in order to ensure continued federal assistance to her state amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Asked specifically by Axios reporter Alexi McCammond during an interview on "Axios on HBO" if she self-censors her comments about the President "for the sake of continuing to receive federal assistance," Whitmer responded bluntly, "Yes."
When pressed if she has always felt that way, Whitmer offered that "the worst night sleep that I've gotten in the last 10 weeks is when he has attacked me on Twitter."

The owner of a restaurant in western Michigan is defying Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's executive order by reopening in a late-ditch effort to save his business.


Jim Cory resumed dining service at Jimmy’s Roadhouse in rural Newaygo and now faces a threat by the state health department to revoke his licenses, he said Sunday on “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

“It’s just been one different set of rules after another,” Cory said of the state's ongoing coronavirus restrictions.

Whitmer, he complained, “throws up something different every time you turn around.”

The restaurant opened Wednesday afternoon and within an hour more than a dozen parties were seated, according to WOOD TV8.

Cory noted that since he violated Whitmer’s executive order on Wednesday he was told his licenses would be suspended if he continued to operate while the executive order was in place, so he did not reopen on Thursday.
