A thousand people dying in over 3 months time frame IS NOT a reason for concern unless you happen to be old or weak. And most of these people have minimal contact with the public ANYWAY. I'm a sickly person in my 60s...during the flu season....guess what....I STAY HOME. I don't go into crowds or events and generally keep my distance. I don't need the fucking government to tell me to do this. Many of the other even older and more sickly people are in nursing homes, hospitals, etc, ANYWAY, and they are not out working with the public. Most of us are probably retired. ALL OF THIS WAS UNNECESSARY. ALL OF IT. I said three months ago what we ought to do is isolate those at risk and let it run through the population. Its going to anyway. Ventilating people isn't saving them, if your lungs are so fucked up they're not going to oxygen in your blood even if you force air into them.
