But didnt see the tp situation coming that was a wtf moment. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78546240 I am thinking about buying a bidet. Just eliminate the need for TP altogether. Would be quite nice to have my butthole automatically washed and dried after a good poo. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 20250509 United States 04/03/2020 04:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I saw TP at my little local grocer late last night. He had several cases of commercial TP. selling single rolls for $1/each. Quoting: jt210 Expensive shit May as well but some cheap sand paper. Would work the same as that cheap shit. Nope not me - only the best Charmin for my butthole. Yeah, I aint buying that commercial stuff. We routinely have a couple months supply of TP on hand. We always buy in bulk. Same with paper towels. Dont fret. We had the same here in Tampa area a week ago. Everone has eggs now. Price went the fuck up, but we have eggs. Paid $4.50 for 18 extra large eggs. |

I have never had active turd movement in the shower but that would work based on my dingle-berry experiences. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78681001 Australia 04/03/2020 04:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm buying for myself, my parents, and my grandmother, and shopping was horrible for me today. Very busy, long lines at the checkout, naturally all spaced 1.5m apart, and naturally everyone has a shopping cart overflowing. And also not surprisingly they only had 50% of the checkouts open. Found a pack of 24 rolls so why not...still no hand sanitizer, no liquid hand soap, nothing at all that has disinfectant or anti-bacterial in its description. People mostly keeping their distance, though some acting like it was a normal Friday, no masks, some with gloves. I did notice that the employees tend to not practice any social distancing with each other, some standing around chatting like nothing. Only a matter of time before an infections start running through these places and they get shut down. The plastic barriers are up now. You have to pack your own groceries, though the checkout chick packed mine for some reason. I got the feeling she was just happy I wasn't abusing her, she seemed relieved when I was polite. Too many people inside. I walked out feeling as though I need to be sprayed down, felt filthy. |

Yea they were out of some things but I did not get the feeling of doom. Could be I live in an area that is not NYC level? Not sure but it was certainly not as bad as I heard from our local d00my news channels. Quoting: IFartInYourDirection There were many people wearing masks and gloves. No one seemed to be "prepper" shopping. Looked like normal every cart contents to me. So idk wtf the point of this thread is. Just seems like there is more doom talk than actual doom. Sam’s club was pretty much emptied out still. Wal Mart looked better than a few weeks ago. Still empty on some things but filled up . Still no toilet paper or paper towels @ either. (Thankfully, we stocked up a while ago. Didn’t need tp or paper towels but wanted to check it out) I had to go to 3 stores to find eggs! WYSIWYG COVID Va¢¢1nes do hurt people. I’m walking, talking proof of that. Killed a close family member. |

User ID: 29352995 United States 04/03/2020 04:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I went two days ago. Half of the people were wearing masks and most had gloves. No TP or paper towel. Weird thing was, I was going to make tacos for dinner... all the taco shells were gone! All but two boxes in the back of the bottom shelf. It was so weird. I’ve never seen that isle empty. The only other thing that was weird was the meat. They only had 5lb packages of ground beef, which they had a ton of, and not much chicken or steak. I was only allowed to buy one case of water but they had no problem selling me two cases of beer. Oberon... delicious Oberon... Anonymous Coward User ID: 77797825 United States 04/03/2020 05:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The price of eggs has become ridiculous. A 30 pack used to be around $3.60, I saw them today and they were almost $10. Almost certainly due to a shortage caused by all these panic buying pieces of shit who don't normally buy eggs and probably don't even know how to cook. |

But other areas in Texas have no problems keeping things stocked. I have also tried going in first thing in the morning and things are out even then. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 73314659 United States 04/03/2020 08:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I’ve been in many stores and there is usually bread. Costco is fully stocked with bread, rice, even 25 lb bags of pinto beans (there were not a ton left), sugar. I didn’t see flour but I wasn’t looking that well. The canned chili was back in stock. TP arrived around 2 pm. Every cart had a pack in them. By end of day they were likely all gone. The Kirkland went first and fast but Charmin remained for awhile. I was not permitted to buy more than one olive oil there to my surprise. I tried to buy 2. Kroger, Albertson’s etc - randomly out of eggs, rice, beans, pasta, sugar, definitely out of flour and yeast, almost always out of TP but I’ve gotten some in the morning like around 8 am. Frozen veggies are harder to find. Peanut butter too. Tortilla aisle is often bare at Kroger, not so bad at Albertson’s. I have ten pounds of masa corn flour in my pantry, I make my own tortillas. There is still plenty of food out there, but the sheeple all want the same stuff and don’t know where to go. I get a lot of my stuff from ethnic markets. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 40169223 United States 04/03/2020 08:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I found plenty of toilet paper at a Wal-Mart in Fleming Island Florida yesterday. There's a limit, one pack per customer. There was also a limit on bottled spring water, one pack per customer. The entire sanitizer and cleaning aisle was well stocked. Paper towels were totally gone though. Everything else looked fine to me. |
