Observatories closed because no public attending plus not essential services. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76862206 But there are plenty of people still studying. Astro, your thoughts? how many amateurs have equipment that can detect beyond visible spectrum? This Is The Correct Question......Hardly Any I would say You would be wrong. These days I use an adaptive optics system that bolts on the front of my camera and prevents me from even being able to block infrared light from my images. It takes away the filter threads I used to alternate between visible and infrared light in the above image. I'm always shooting images that now include infrared light. |

Astro would tell us. Hopefully. lot of you are wrapped around astros testicles. I rather get my info from untrusted NASA than that angry ass person with a telescope who flips out on anyone who has the slightest disagreement. Your loss. I provide independent data and free open source software for astronomy. Admit it, you're still pissed I exposed you for using multiple accounts to sock puppet on one of my threads. In this respect, darkness has the same speed as light! Indeed, apparently other forms of darkness are faster than light though(shadows) "Darkness" doesn't exist. It is simply an abstract human concept. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77884112 Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System There's more than one observatory in Hawaii. When it's a team of people or an observatory that discovers it instead of an individual, they use the acronym for the observatory or team. That's a major reason Spygate was so easy to perpetrate on a large number of people. That's the reason why way too many people watch the "news" shows on TV and don't have the incredulity they should have. |

Odd, considering the asteroid is passing closest to the Earth on April 29th 2020; 12) Most telescopes got shutdown 3 days ago. That was the ultimate red flag for me."
