Just point of interest here...
Wife's sister, who had COVID 1.5 times (likely had it twice, but was never officially diagnosed the second time), is in the process of being diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder called Hashimoto's, which is something that affects the thyroid and can also (in her case) cause serious heart issues and potentially spontaneous coma...her immune system is all out of whack because she had ovarian cancer and then got COVID, but is also morbidly obese...more Long COVID fun and games...

Sorry to hear that Geo. By the way how did it end up with your FiL? It was a while ago but I'm not sure if I remember you saying he had confirmed covid or not. He is doing better now at least?

This bad logic is what drives the next round.....

Less than 50% of email recieved

“I can accept the risks of my kids getting Covid, in part because I compare it to the risk of them getting other infectious diseases and the risk seems very, very small,” Dr. Nuzzo said. “I feel that if my kids were to get Covid, they would be OK. I also see the direct harms of their not having a normal life.”

This just sucks.... but do folks not have good imaginations or books or the fucking internet..... these people have never had a kid that gets sick regularly.

Guess what?

Unfortunately.... a lot of them are about to learn about taking care of a child with long term issues.

Fuuuuuuuuuck.

We are expected to respect his caution on opening up.....

So cases of a variant of concern are exponentially growing and the UK continues with its road map to freedom.

We are in for a big shock as are the US!!

They are just doing what the government tells them to do. They think the vaccines work and freedom will be granted on 21st June. They are not bothered about the multi-million pound government covid contract given to an advertising company until 2023 and recruiting covid marshals with contracts up to 2022 and beyond.

It will be wave after wave after wave....

Yep. Boris is going for the 'pile of bodies' strategy.
It’s a question of methods. Everybody wants results, but nobody wants to do what they have to do to get them done.

BBC.... Mr Hancock told the House of Commons there were now 2,323 confirmed cases of the Indian variant in the UK.

This means there has been a 77% increase in confirmed cases of the variant over the last five days.

So that will be a doubling in 7 days....

Back to watching march 2020 and hospitalisations!!

All the government is doing is rewarding children and hoping to move a few pounds into their coiffures. Airports are busy as people in the UK flee to other countries for holiday, while other countries allow them in even though England at least seems to be leading Europe's Indian variant cases. Sad situation.

India variant will be dominant UK Covid strain ‘in next few days’

The Covid variant first detected in India is set to be the dominant strain in the UK within days, experts have said, with the government and health teams struggling to contain cases, which have risen by more than 75% since Thursday.

With the rapid spread of the more transmissible B.1.617.2 variant threatening to reverse moves to ease lockdown, the government faced intense pressure to more fully explain the delay in adding India to the so-called red list of countries.

Dominic Cummings, Boris Johnson’s former chief adviser, joined the criticism on Monday, calling the UK’s border policy a “joke”.

Johnson is now set to delay plans to announce an end to social-distancing rules, postponing the conclusion of a review expected by the end of the month, casting significant doubt over the wider plan to relax most lockdown rules on 21 June.
