If you really are broke, go to a plasma center. They draw blood. Then centrifuge it, and take out the plasma. Burn victims and hemophiliacs need it so you can feel good about it. Then they pay you. You can do that about 4 times a month. There's no work to it but if backed up, you might be there two hours.

prices much higher than Aldis/Walmart.

Aldi is a great place with much cheaper prices (I refuse to shop at Walmart for years). I can get the same quality foods, organic and all, for $100 and Aldi. The same items at the Wegamans down the road would coast me closer to $150. Now Wegmans is much nicer and his more variety of goods (one stop shop kind of place) but I'm saving $50 per trip (easily) when shopping at Aldi. That $ adds up.

Should not have been pure cash, it should have been done in the form of food coupons, product discounts, and essential worker bonuses.

UBI was a great idea but they killed it by making it not work. It doesn't make sense when continuing workers don't even benefit and they have the privilege of paying those who no longer work... It was almost funny yesterday. I go out shopping, my wife makes the list from sales flyers on the internet. Yesterday she was boggling at the price increases in the sales flyers. I was like "Yes, dear. That's the way that it's been going."

Now she understands why I picked beef up when it was a good price. And why I picked sausage up when it was on a good sale. And why I picked up pork chops when they were .99/lb. All in the freezer now.

Weird. What has happened around here for several months now hit or miss is all of the cheaper brands of everything from generic brand aluminum foil vs name brand, fresh produce vs organic cheaper eggs cheaper bread you name it frozen stuff.... All of the cheaper priced items are gone.
so all that is left is the higher priced items.

I see if every week when I go out.
