I just had my Navian ON-DEMAND NG Water heater repaired for $250.

That was actually reasonable.

Very Happy.

Getting a new one would be hard and very expensive.

I figured out years ago it cost 8 cents a shower to heat water for the shower and dishwasher.

I'm a property manager. I manage about 300 homes and I buy more appliances than anyone ever should have to. This year has been a nightmare. I have spent countless hours dealing with buying or repairing appliances. Many appliances are made or at least assembled in the USA. Plants shut down earlier this year for Covid. They are still not back to full operations and many of them are also producing ventilators and masks. Parts for repairs are even harder to find. Many parts come from China. Because production is reduced less shipments of parts are being sent. China only ships parts when they have enough orders to fill containers. It's not just appliances either. Air conditioners are in short supply. Also hearing nails, screws, fasteners and of course plywood and lumber.

I bought a spare tankless unit when I installed mine because there was a super bargain on Ebay. I still have it and may use it in another house. I don't have a dishwasher. I wash both my dishes after I use them.

Once COVID has reduced the population by 89%, this will become a non-issue.

Maybe. For me, it's Craigslist. I keep spares anyway and sometimes get units for free. Someone threw out a washer and dryer set because the washer door broke. The dryer was almost brand new.

Not sure what you are on about, OP... But just bought and had delivered a new fridge to one of my rental homes. Stainless side by side whirlpool. No delay. Old one took a shit Saturday. New one in today.

Freezers were just not available down here in deep south Texas since early this year. As soon as covid hit and everything went into lockdown....everybody ran out and bought up all the freezers. 7 cubic ft ones were especially gone....and of course that is the size I wanted too.

So yesterday I just happened to go to Sam's Club. Low and behold....there were 7 cubic ft freezers there for sale...both chest and upright. I almost fainted. The prices were right too. I got an upright on for $229 but with tax it was another $15.00. Still not bad when you compare that Amazon is selling the very same one for $300 more.

I am doing the happy dance. The freezer is a Thomson brand...very quiet and cute ...very nice looking.

It has been a very long wait to get a 7 cubic ft. freezer.

All I can say is....when you see it and you want it you better get it while the gettin is good.
