From a german news site:
According to some leaked data,
the Virus-Variant B.1.427/B.1.429 has a 4.8 times higher rate of ICU-admittance and
an 11 times higher mortality rate!

Original:
"Personen, die sich mit der Virus-Variante B.1.427/B.1.429 infiziert hatten, wiesen dem Bericht zufolge eine 4,8-mal höhere Wahrscheinlichkeit auf, intensivmedizinisch behandelt werden zu müssen, als mit dem ursprünglichen Coronavirus Infizierte. Die Sterbewahrscheinlichkeit lag demnach sogar elfmal höher. "
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80087828

Just to clarify for others, B.1.427/B.1.429 is the name assigned to the California variant.
 Quoting: CoronaCoaster

Most vaccinated people I know are saying that now that they are vaccinated they are going back to normal life. In light of this B.1.427/B.1.429 variant described above I can just see this trainwreck coming. The rest of this year is going to be nothing short of a disaster.

Re: Sars Cov 2 … the grinder continues to eat away at resources and humanity.
I suspect this research was why the SK health official jumped last year. RIP.

And yah, TB.... they definitely haven’t been releasing more on this subject..... so lying by omissions.

Doctor’s Note: Can the coronavirus reactivate?
New research suggests the coronavirus may be able to lie dormant and later ‘reawaken’. A doctor examines the evidence.

April 12, 2020

Less than 50%

New data from the Korean Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) has thrown up a new theory about how we build immunity to coronavirus.

....

As South Korea investigates this further and other countries are able to offer their own findings, we are likely to understand more about the way this virus summons an immune response and, hopefully, determine for sure whether reactivation or reinfection are possibilities.

And then this line of research just fell off the face of the earf.

Success! The best article.... and I am not the only parent with these issues!!! I didn’t think I was, but it’s not easy having a kid get sick for what feels like “no reason”.....

Thanks, EG, for the research path. And found the covid19 diabetes connection too.

How Are My Kids Still Getting Sick in Lockdown?
Many infections come from within. Doctors explain what they are and what to do about them.

Less than 50%

It’s also possible that some new medical issues are being directly caused by the coronavirus. Dr. Scott Krugman, M.D., a pediatrician at the Herman & Walter Samuelson Children’s Hospital at Sinai in Baltimore, Md., said that his hospital has recently treated a surprising number of kids with new-onset diabetes. “We have admitted a steady stream of children over the past few months,” he said.

TB and Jazz, maybe your cars caught the virus. Lol. My last Jeep would completely stall when making a left turn sometimes. I took it in to the shop over and over, and they said nothing was wrong with it. Crazy.

CC, we love cheese in this house / room! Thank you for the video! I hope your pizza was good. :)

Jazz, I have had numerous electrical issues with my Jeep, which cannot be reproduced at the dealers. What has worked many times is disconnecting the battery for ten minutes. Also, putting it on a trickle charger if I do not plan to drive for a couple of days, has worked wonders. In 15 years have had 5 new batteries and I buy the biggest and best that will fit, not OEM batteries. Jeeps, and probably most modern autos, are hypersensitive to voltage changes.

Happy Friday to all. It's a beautiful sunny day here in the IE, but I do wish we'd have more rain, we need it mucho.

Thought I'd pass this along, as it's gross when government engages in "legal" child abuse, my opine.

My grandson is in 1st grade and they have had virtual school thus far this school year. The school district is now developing a plan for children to return to school in person. I agree100% with my daughter that their requirements are ridiculous and sounds terrible.

First, the children will be treated like prisoners. (Hmmm so much for rugged invdividualism)

There will be a WEEKLY nasal swab. (Why these current COVID tests are so relied upon since they are not very accurate, and why more accurate tests haven't been rolled out by now is frustrating to me).

School would be 2 hours twice a week, masks AT ALL TIMES, NO recess, desks 6 Feet apart with white boxes except the front is clear, teacher BEHIND a PLEXIGLASS Wall.

Fortunately my daughter, who works in child mental health, isn't buying into this nonsense. The potential psychological damage to these children is astounding to me especially when it's been created and approved by so-called child experts in the educational/development field (if any with sense actually exist anymore).

My grandson also said he's not interested going since he CANNOT play with his friends.

It's pretty obvious it's all about the $$$$, but his teacher said it's about reconnectins, uh no more like programming them to avoid socialization. Grandson did say if he went he would draw on the barriers ohyeah

Lago, I saw your earlier comment about Tricare. They are good, but it can be hard to figure out. Your active duty son will be taken care of, don't worry. The problems usually arise when spouses or children need a specialist, or if they are remote or overseas and have to find off-base medical care, etc. As TB pointed out, retirement is a completely different story.

This is Tricare's website, which is very good compared to a few years ago.

I loved finally being an adult with “normal” insurance ..... until prexisting conditions snuck up on me and insurance went psycho under the Obama Administration.

But I do love electronic medical records..... zero arguments on confirmed diagnosis. Really exhausting arguing with ER nurses that fibromyalgia was a real diagnosis..... yeah that shit happens.
