Is an interesting thread by JINX. Not linking because done previously here. People and our reasoning or lack thereof.

JINX: I work in emergency services, 911 was absolutely called. People want to skip the triage line at the ED so they call an ambulance, thinking they will get in faster. One of my favorite things to do is call in a report to the hospital with a "triage patient," and the staff directs us straight to triage when we arrive. The look on their face is priceless He also said many who called didn't have to pay because many had Medicaid.

Thousands of Spirit Airlines passengers have been stranded in airports for hours after the budget carrier canceled 30 percent of its scheduled flights nationwide.

On Monday, the Florida-based airline canceled over 200 flights throughout the US, in addition to 165 canceled flights on Sunday, according to flight-tracking service FlightAware.com.

Travelers took to social media to share vent their frustrations from airports in cities such as San Juan, Miami, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale while they waited for updates from the airline.

Photos and videos showed the travelers seated on the ground as they complained of being hot and hungry in packed terminals.

Rumors of a pilot strike began circulating online before a Spirit spokesperson quashed that speculation and said the cancellations were due to weather and 'other operational challenges'.

I've been told by a reliable source that police in our town - just outside a major city - have been dealing with a rash of calls in the past month, where people have been found DOA in their homes. The profile tends to be white men in their 30s and 40s. They seemingly just drop.

Don't know their "vaccination" status, but it sure is unusual. PD muckety-mucks also have instructed officers not to discuss this trend with others, hoping to stave off panic.

I do wonder if this is more pervasive than we know.

His numbers are waaaaay off. The US daily death low point (not counting weekends) was 476 deaths on July 2. It's been slowly climbing since then, up to 891 on July 30.

The key data point is to find out how long ago each "breakthrough" patient received their vaccination. If each case is four to six months or more since vaccination, then we're looking at antibody fading, not actual vaccine breakthrough. If we start seeing people who have been fully vaccinated for less than 90 days becoming infected on a regular basis, then vaccine breakthrough starts to become more likely, and is a far, far worse situation.

Remember that we knew antibodies generated by an infection faded after about six months last summer. There's no reason that antibodies generated by a vaccine wouldn't do the same.

You're the best. It'll be 2 years this Christmas since I've seen any of the kids. That's the longest we've gone without seeing them. Thing is, it's not like when Mr. TB was still active duty and we couldn't come home. None of us has any reason for this BUT the virus. We keep making plans and they always fall through.

I'll get through this. I'm not the only one in the world with this problem. It just gets a little heavy sometimes.
