Every time this dude wants to keep it in perspective.... he fails to remember the long folks in and outta hospital.

Or that deaths aren’t counted later... like 7 months after the fact.

The hurrrrrrr is strong today

His numbers are waaaaay off. The US daily death low point (not counting weekends) was 476 deaths on July 2. It's been slowly climbing since then, up to 891 on July 30.

And his use of July 31 is disingenuous, because it's a Saturday. I use Fridays.
 Quoting: Riff-Raff

Riff-Raff, where will the US be in 2022?
 Quoting: Lago

I hate making specific predictions, but the US has already gone exponential on new daily cases according to the charts I'm seeing, going from 14,000 new daily cases on July 1st to 195,000 new daily cases on July 30th.

If we stay on the road we're on, we'll begin 2022 with an overloaded, heavily strained health care system, a supply chain that continues to slowly fail, scientists unable to produce vaccine boosters fast enough to keep up with the virus mutations, an economy poised on the brink of total collapse, and 50% of Americans blaming the other 50% for the whole thing and perfectly willing to kill each other over it.

We're not past the point of no return yet, but I don't see us implementing the steps necessary to avoid getting there.

The people that I know and trust who are in positions to know things are all basically saying the same thing: "We're screwed."

As far as I'm concerned, if you are not solidly prepared by this point for a full year of fending for yourself, you haven't been paying attention. We still have time to build up preps. Take advantage of it.

"Make your preparations and begin protecting yourself NOW, people. Seriously. We've barely scraped the surface of the rabbit hole so far." Do you honestly believe the USA is in danger of financial collapse next year? Even third world countries are surviving. I do understand that you, on this conspiracy forum, may have the deepest insight into what may occur next year.
 Quoting: Lago

The American economy has been based on an ever-building house of cards ever since we went off the gold standard. And the huge difference between economic collapse in the US and economic collapse in third-world countries is citizens of third-world countries are already used to the hardships of living in a third-world country. Americans have no clue how to survive under third-world conditions.

So it feeling like a a head cold or sinus infection is part of this round....

Haven't been here in a few thousand pages, just got tired of being on and trying to keep up with everything. But here's my update -

I did get both shots in March/April. Risky? Maybe. But better than dying on the floor of a overcrowded hospital hallway..

Employer I started with last September had everyone working from home. Telephone customer service. No real reason to need to be in an office for this type of work.

Two weeks ago, we were all told to report back to the office.

A week ago, we had to start doing the daily COVID survey on-line before coming to work. Two days after that, masks were delivered to our desks and we were instructed to wear them at all times in the building unless we were sitting down in our cubes answering calls.

Today, I woke up with a headache, stuffy nose, diarrhea. Called off. Supervisor texted me and instructed me to take COVID survey. I did as instructed. And failed the test.

So now I'm off work for at least a week, and have to go get nasal test tomorrow. Now, I don't think I have it, I think it's just a cold, probably from being around so many people after being isolated for over a year.

I am SO FUCKING SICK of COVID. And I don't think this shit is ever going away.

Fucking bioweapon.

It should have balanced out the work force....

I don't know if you saw my post the other day (or if it even went through), but my vaccinated aunt and uncle got Covid a couple of weeks ago. His symptoms were those of a sinus infection, which he is prone to. Not sure about aunt's symptoms.... I need to ask my mom. But he went to the doctor thinking he had a sinus infection. A lot of people won't or can't seek treatment for those symptoms and just go about their work, travel, church, etc......

Sorry, SN.

Another friend has a ton of circle infections similar. And Riff Raff. Plus TB. And Guythu.

I wanted to reacknowlede what we are seeing. Which means my circles that had the sniffles last month... and were jet setters, probably were part of Iowa’s delta kick off.

Not gonna lie....I like my bunker dweller status at the moment.

Riff, I'm sorry. I remembered right as I hit post.

I'm an out of work gramma these days. We haven't seen any of them since Christmas, right before this nightmare started. No hugs anywhere these days. Can't even hug my neighbor kids anymore.

It's hard to be a hugger in a world where hugs are outlawed. There's a B sci-fi movie in there somewhere. Maybe a B slasher movie.

You're the best. It'll be 2 years this Christmas since I've seen any of the kids. That's the longest we've gone without seeing them. Thing is, it's not like when Mr. TB was still active duty and we couldn't come home. None of us has any reason for this BUT the virus. We keep making plans and they always fall through.

I'll get through this. I'm not the only one in the world with this problem. It just gets a little heavy sometimes.

Thanks for understanding everyone.

i won't speak for TB. GF and i are in a similar boat. have avoided seeing family since 2019 holidays. thou we did call my mom early this year to help us run some errands. this was just before she got her shots.

in our case, family does not live in the same town. my mom is half hour to my east. GF's family is 3 hours west. my mom lives in a high rise of elderly ppl with only 2 elevators. her risk of being exposed is high for that alone. none of the ppl are staying home. all have traveled across several states during this ordeal. they basically have not locked down at all at any time. free roaming and visiting others.

the GF's neices and gandkids would all want hugs. so even outside, the exposure is too high considering we would have a 3 hour ride back home before we could change clothes and take a full bleach bath. so there would b no socializing at a safe distance even outside.

i've told a few stories over the year and half of how much they disregard the virus. during the lockdown, gf's mom took the neices out for pizza. drove to the restaraunt not realizing it was closed. where she is that trip was bout half hour away.all the kids in the small town play together constantly.both outside and in each others houses. this too did not stop.nor did sleepovers at other family member's houses within an hour's drive.

my own mother took a trip to VA. this was a reunion with her sisters including 1 from FL. that was in 2020.

their total disregard for the virus puts them at risk. what has saved them so far, is they are in rural northern PA. the world still believes the virus attacks older very sick ppl. and of course some are vaxed and safe as the media has told them. the safe road of avoiding them completely isn't easy. GF has accepted it and adjusted better than i expected. she knows herself that we might never see some ppl again. but she also knows if she gets the virus she is most likely dead due to her health problems. so no the isk even outdoors is too high.

Hey guys. Lago, my story is similar to Jazz's except my kids live in 2 different states, Missouri and Texas. Visits like you have with your son aren't possible. I broke my bubble when we visited my brother and sil, the other day. There was some family business that had to be done in person. They are vaxxed and VERY mobile. I worried about going and I'm watching Mr. TB and myself very carefully, as we are not vaxxed. We've been told by 2 different docs NOT to take it. They both said we would have a better chance of surviving the virus. With our health issues the shot would most likely kill us and while we are getting older, I have NO desire to die for no reason.

Jazz, give your gf a really big hug from me to her. Please? It has to be even harder for her since the kids are so much closer than mine.

Heat and electricity are a problem. Since we're renting, we can't have a wood burner put in. I do know a ton of tricks from parents and grandparents about blocking out cold air. News from the ground.

Sister works for GM, they were laid off last week due to semi-conductor shortage, now they are off again next week..same thing.

I asked if people would have to get laid off permanently if things continue, she doesn't think so and is excited for the time off.

She really can't see the writing on the wall. I'm sure majority are the same narrow viewpoint as her.

I sent it again, TB, so if CC doesn't mind I'm going to simply cut and paste it here.

I'm going to suggest you buy one pound of Ohm Red and one pound of Ohm Yellow and when they arrive take a tupperware type storage tub and mix 'em together gently.

If you want Marlboro in the red pack use a regular or what they call "full flavor" tube with the brown/tan filter. If you want a Marlboro light use the same tobacco mix and a "light" or white filteporn links.

If you buy two pounds of tobacco get yourself four boxes of tubes; it takes about half a pound of tobacco to make a carton (200 cigarettes). So two pounds is four cartons of smokes. Figure about $14 for each pound of tobacco and maybe $4 per box of 200 tubes and you'll have a final cost of about $1.10 per pack or $11 per carton of cigarettes. Or "what we paid in the olden days"...lol.

Even better, it's gonna be just tobacco and paper; none of the 400+ chemicals they use on the commercial stuff. I smoke a bit less since I started rolling my own and don't have any of the side effects; coughing, morning congestion, etc. I had when I used the commercial smokes.

If you're a coffee drinker, stock up. Apparently Brazil, a major supplier, has had weather that's pretty much wrecked this year's supply and was nasty to the extent that their ability to supply coffee may be disrupted until 2023/2024.

I knew it was bad, but not that bad. I've only got a years worth.

Btw Larry, I didn't get your pm, but I bought a small bag of Gold Stuff tobacco and a box of Zen tubes yesterday to try. The girl at the store said the tobacco was the most popular in their store. Have NO idea! LOL

I sent it again, TB, so if CC doesn't mind I'm going to simply cut and paste it here.

Nope, didn't get it. I don't think she'll mind. We're not the only smokers on the planet. Might help someone else, too. Thanks.

Please do. This is for all our thoughts. I loved what you called the other thread when we transitioned last time.
