Jazz, my friend. I didn't learn a whole lot of history in the classroom. Most of the history I've learned has been independent study. I know a bit of the "forbidden history". I say just a bit because there is so much to learn and solid information is difficult to find.

But yeah, you ALL better remember what the Nazi's did and they killed WAY more than just the people we can't name. It happened. I used to know several people that were a part of the Dutch underground. I listened. I verified.

I guess that's what I get for falling asleep after supper! I was a little freaked out for awhile. I wasn't quite awake, I guess, and thought I had a brain issue for a few minutes. My kids would say I probably do! LOL

I think it was just a steam release, at least that's what I'm hoping. We're going to see/have them more often, I'm afraid. The news has been horrific. I can't wrap my head around the numbers. Add to that, there's all the other "lovely" news. It's just too much to absorb at the pace it comes out. Even my faith gets stretched some days and that's the only thing that keeps me going.

I wish I had a solution for the stress, but there's no one answer that I can see. We're just going to have to find it for ourselves.

Drawing death data from civil registries and other sources, the report came up with three estimates for undercounts. The conclusion is that between 3.4 and 4.7 million more people died in that pandemic period than would have been predicted. That's up to 10 times higher than the Indian government's official death toll of 414,482.

Arkansas Children's Hospital doctor warns of critically ill kids with COVID-19

Arkansas Children's Hospital reported 11 confirmed COVID-19 hospitalizations Monday along with several more suspected.

"About half of those are critically ill. They’re in our ICU requiring ventilator support or really have COVID-pneumonia," said Dr. Rick Barr, Chief Clinical Officer at Arkansas Children's.

Barr said the hospitalizations are about two to three times more than they saw back in the winter months with COVID-19.

“Previously most of the children that were admitted were incidentally found to be COVID positive," Barr said. "They weren’t admitted because they had COVID. They were admitted for some other reason.
