well, they used to do that to animals with anesthetic, because you have to put the transmitter inside a living brain to get anything useful out of it...
its a method of direct measurement that is just as unappealing and creepy as it sounds. It's also the ideal way to localize very specific neuronal functions.
and I guess the moral of the story is we decided to still do it but without anesthetic.

Unfortunately most of the published works are controlled propaganda. The shadow world or unseen isn't that far from you, even though l lost the ability to "see", l still have my experiences to draw from.

I have done this.

Carl Jung described the merging of the self and shadow self as a process which could take 6-7 years to complete and in his case he thought it was an uneasy alliance.

I disagree as he was a pussy who was submerged in a society who's values had superseded his own self and like most people he had submitted his true self to that of the others.

You don't know who you are. The part people call The Ego prevents this.

It stops you noticing things and behaviors you don't like. The Hypocrite doesn't know they are a hypocrite, but everyone else does. This is a fact for every person who has not integrated themselves to be whole.

The Process.
Self Observation. In particular pay attention to what you do when you are emotional. This is key. The Ego uses your emotions to do it's dirty work and conceal from you your shadow self.

The process causes you to disintegrate as you see your true self for the first time and you will not like it because the Ego has convinced you (along with society) those parts are bad.

In fact they are your true strengths, the ability to break rules and conventions at will which is what is required to defeat your Ego.

Integration.
Don't be afraid of who you are. Understand it. It is like the Tool song Schism, I know the pieces fit because I watched them fall away. But this time you are going to put them back together in the right order so it serves you.

A warning.

Balance is required. You fit the pieces so it balances you.

The warning is your dark side is seductive. It offers you everything through Power which is attractive. My dark-side almost seduced me.

It was the realization I was a Good person which allowed the last pieces to snap into place and bind that did the trick for me.

I am unbound. My mind can do anything and so can I, but that does not mean I will do anything.

It is a different world with that perspective. You stop being afraid of anything. That is the first time you are really free and free to use your Free-will.

We have free-will and it's limit is your Fears and your ability to exert your Will.

I will give more information as you need it. In doing so I am paying you back for wisdom received from viewing many of your threads. I consider this an equatable exchange.

there was a program by the name of 'EST'. The sole reason for the program was to provide the circumstance and teaching to lead a person to having a profound experience with what I have labeled "What is". Some would call it 'God'.

A close friend of mine attended the program in the 1970's and did have the "Got it" moment. It changed his life. The program has changed and re-named and is merely a shadow of the original.

My experiences came from a form of meditation that I sort of 'fell into'. It was as if I already knew how to do it. I went through a period where everything in my life suddenly changed and I met very unusual people at every turn. Two of these gave me a pointed recommendation to start meditating.

My experiences led me to understandings that are not found in any book except in vague references contained in esoteric ancient Eastern teachings.

I have considered writing a few books on the subject, but I have found through experience that the audience for such a book would be very small.

I am surprised at how many types of meditation there are and how useless the majority are except to develop an 'operational calmness' in life. I have found none that take you to the point of all things as I have developed.

I have tried to teach a few others how to follow this procedure, but if the individual is highly attached to 'this place' or has had traumatic experiences, the walls are too great unless a great amount of time is dedicated to this path.

For me, it took only a few weeks to have the first experience, but I was open to it with very few walls. I continued deeper into it for many months and there are no words that can describe it. You KNOW that you are immortal, and you KNOW that you are free. Nothing short of amazing.

Of the experience, imagine being Neo in the movie the Matrix, after he gets a download and says "I know Kung Fu". He didn't think or believe it, He KNEW IT. It was a permanent knowledge that nothing could ever change. That is what happens, when you experience "what is". It isn't a voice, it is a download of understanding . In 30 seconds of one experience, you could not write a 100 pages on the content and adequately cover it.

It is a disturbing path and can create much fear in the mind because the current mind is not your friend.

Okay, this is really interesting but I have to think about what I want to comment on.

Okay...how does a person know if they have integrated their shadow, rather than just given it a way better way to operate unconsciously? Is that something we just have to believe?

I dont fear that I am bad or evil because I am naturally a nice girl. There is something that worries me which isn't the immoral part of the shadow self, it's the invisible part. The part we don't see because it is too incongruous.

My concern...is really a form of apathy I think. Maybe it comes from too many peak experiences. Maybe it comes from, constantly seeking greater and greater instances of clarity. Such that, somehow, I dont really have a very deep attachment to a great deal of anything. I can't think of anything in my apartment I feel very attached to other than very vague stuff like YouTube or abstract thought.

I'm not depressed when my light dims inside but I do feel apathetic and detached generally.

I have to figure I am responsible for having no attachments anymore, but something feels like it's free, but its free to go nowhere
