They must be sitting in containers off the West Coast. A bottle of brand you've never heard of, not even the store brand naproxen sodium was $7 for 40 pills. That seems pretty high. Last time I got some at the dollar store it was 10 pills for a dollar, so 40 pills for $7 is definitely higher. Feminine protection items are getting really expensive. They rate the condition of each part, sometimes have photos, and the price. (some don't list price, so you have to call and haggle) Then you just call the individual salvage yard and have them ship it. Awesome resource. |

Not only are parts extremely scarce but they have doubled and even in some cases TRIPLED in cost! That one hit me in the gut. I just need shocks, struts and a new windshield. Struts are either unavailable and listed at rather standard prices or doubled in cost. Windshield has tripled from 170 to over 400 bucks. When I'm done there I'll just need some minor things and she's winter ready. The nearest junkyard closed up a year ago so I travel far to one and they usually don't have my vehicle there. I've been lucky for most parts but lately no dice. Food has obviously gone way up too. Everyone I spoke with spent quite a lot this year for Thanksgiving. The great shitstorm has arrived. This April I replaced many things on my 2007 Land Rover Defender knowing that prices would skyrocket. A friend and I installed the parts even if the old ones still had some life in them. I bought two sets of tires installing one set and setting the other away in my garage. We also cleaned up the body and gave it a fresh coat of Land Rover green paint since the paint is also skyrocketing in price. I urge you to acquire handguns, shotguns, ammunition, and gear as looting may be on the way in your neighborhood soon. God help us all this shit is getting real. |
