JetBlue passengers revolt after 4 failed landing attempts, beg to get off at Newark - hostage for hours

Honestley thought she was going to say something like two free flight vouchers per each person. Something big like that.

$50 is a joke! PATHETIC.

I would sue the ever loving FUCK out of JetBlue. If it got thrown out due to some fine print, I would keep filing just to harrass them.

I'm happy I grew up in the 70s when stewardesses looked like this. You millennials have screwed things up for yourselves

It even starts before the airport. I'm getting my Substitute teacher certification here in NJ and had to get fingerprinted today. There were a bunch of people getting printed to fly overseas as part of some TSA prechecheck.

On a side note there was a giant sign on the front door stating "Masks required in this facility". I strolled in without one. I was the only person not wearing a mask. The greeter had her mask below her nose and didn't say a word about it. Some fat male Karen did though. I told him I don't wear slave masks and he shut right the fuck up. The rest of my visit was uneventful. The fingerprinter was a smoking hot Latino with soft creamy hands. I think she admired me for not bowing down. That's my feel good story for the day.

Probably couldn’t get permission to state-side clear anywhere else.
I have seen it happen, they aren’t taking ANYTHING that could delay going home two hours before closing time.

Until you have to deal with these government apparatchiks on a daily basis, you have no idea how rude, arrogant, and condescending they are.

We just missed a (nother)tornado by 3 miles tonight, and this reminds me of another crazy moment in life...

We were going to land in DFW after a long trip from Greece to NY to Dallas, just as we were landing we swooped back up into the air, because apparently some smaller plane hadn't left the runway/ freaked me the HELL out. We came very close to a collision..My mom, who was there to meet us, said it was like the part in Airplane, ' please meet your party at runway 16 , runway 17, 18...haha!

I've had nothing but bad shit happen on planes in the short amount of time I've been on them. I won't do it again.

And this was a TWA flight, screw Jetblue.

A pilots job is to land safely, you have no idea of wind sheer, engine problems, or other contributing factors! The pilot was very aware and on the ball in my opinion! He got your fat ass down and in one piece, instead of being pissed he didn’t make time, thank your stars you have a professional flying for you, simps!

People have lost it. No one has patience anymore and everyone is an entitled spoiled brat

Take a look at it from another perspective.

What if they released something on the plane .... and lets say they wanted to make sure everyone was infected by it.

They would make them stay on that plane for a few hours to make sure everyone on that plane was infected.

Then release them to spread it.

Then I stand corrected. I suppose what theyre saying is the entire ordeal took 7 hours.

I suppose the argument at that point is they shouldnt have attempted 4 landings at an airport that had questionable landing conditions.

Perhaps they shouldve just landed at Newark to begin with and informed the passengers they couldn't make it to JFK.

Suppose my point is that by the time we landed at Newark I would've been beyond irate and wouldve done anything to get off.

You've failed not once, not twice, not three times, but FOUR times to land the plane at JFK and now youre telling me I should sit here for an hour - let you take off AGAIN - and make a 5th attempt cause the weather will be nicer?

It's an 1hr and 15min drive. I get that it's an inconvenience but the airline screwed this up. However you want to spin it someone somewhere made a big mistake. Either the pilot had business flying the plane or making the initial calls to land or they made an mistake not letting them off at Newark.

Altogether though I don't care...this is another wonderful example of why I won't fly ever again.

A good pilot would've recognized immediately there was no point in even going to JFK or attempting the landing to begin with.

He went back in 3 times after he bailed the first time.

Are they kidding about the not proper customs processing? Newark is an international airport and they have more non domestic flights than jfk so of course they have plenty of customs processing.
