lets take this in baby steps for flat earthers who have never actually thought this through.....

for a person directly on the equator....the sun is at 90 degrees....directly overhead......

if that person travels 1 mile north or south of the equator.....their perspective causes the sun to drop to 45 degrees above the horizon.....

can we all agree on this simple geometric demonstration....??



now.....for this sun to drop to 1 degree over the horizon of flat earth.....a person would have to travel about 57.3 miles north or south of this 1 mile high sun.......simple perspective geometry......

now obviously the sun must be much higher than 1 mile......or else planes and hot air balloons would crash and burn.....

lets see what happens when we bump it up to 10 miles......

people 10 miles from the equator would never see the sun higher than 45 degrees.....and you would need to be 573 miles away to see the sun 1 degree over the horizon.....

ok lets bump it up to 250 miles high.......

now people a mere 250 miles away from the equator will never see the sun higher than 45 degrees above the horizon on the equinox.....




and you will have to be 14,324 miles away to see the sun at 1 degree over the horizon.....

that means you will have to be further away than the radius of flat earth to almost see a sunset......careful dont fall off the edge...!!

ok so lets cut to the chase......

we all know how to determine our latitude on the earth right....??

if you measure the angle to the sun at the equinox.....then subtract that angle from 90 degrees.....thats your latitude.....

the grid of the earths latitude and longitude was designed with 360 degree circles for this very reason......

so at the 45th parallel north or south.......the angle to the sun is 90 degrees - 45 degrees = 45 degrees above the horizon......

so there we are.....at 45 degrees latitude we see the sun at 45 degrees above the horizon.....and 45 degrees below the 90 degree zenith overhead....

now the distance from the equator to 45 degrees north or south is 3110.4 miles.....thats 69.12 miles per degree......

so if the earth is a flat surface...... the sun must be 3110.4 miles up.......every1 at other latitudes will still see the sun veering off course.....but its the only place to put the sun where its as close as possible for every1...

this means we would have to be 178,194 miles away to see the sun 1 degree over the horizon from perspective......while simultaneously the sun needs be overhead at noon somewhere else on the earth.....

just how big do you think flat earth is....??

do you think nobody would notice they have to drive 7,500 miles to get from florida to wisconsin??

Watching this now. Seen some interesting flat Earth videos but I'm still not sure how it all comes together. Hopefully, this documentary will make things clearer.

Watched this last night and the factual stuff blows away the idea that Earth is a globe/ball/planet. The speculative stuff is intriguing, too. Hopefully we see some sort of breakthrough in our idiotic society that reveals the truth of what Earth is, what the true Cosmos is.

Halfway through this, it's great, no one who watches this can walk away still thinking the Earth is a globe flying through space like in the movies and CGI documentaries.

Globe-tards think this, not all of them, but many don't know about human eye geometry.

the field of perspective geometry is well defined.....
if you know the distance to an object ....you can accurately measure its size by the angle it subtends....
if you know the size of an object ....you can accurately measure how far away it is again by the angle it subtends....
any 3d engine makes these calculations instantly nowadays....

whatever direction you are looking becomes your vanishing point....which is at infinity......
nothing above you're line of sight will ever drop below it by moving away parallel to you.....it will only ever grow infinitely smaller.....

place the sun low enuff to even get near the horizon by perspective......and nobody 1000 miles away will see the sun high in the sky as they must....

put the sun high enuff to even come close to approximating the angle to the noon sun as we see it from each latitude.......and it will need to travel astronomical distances to get anywhere near the horizon due to perspective.....

and yet .....in your next level video.....he just casually points into the sky....draws a line at angle to the horizon with his finger.....and says "the sun sets due to perspective..."
then he walks down a hall dangling a yellow paper sun.....and walks it behind another paper tree which is obviously above the camera line.....

its the most retarded shit i ever saw on a flat earth video yet.....

Sunsets and sunrises....
The angle to the sun at high noon.....as seen from each degree of latitude.....
Its unwavering steady size and speed as you track it on a gimbal fixed to your latitude....

The opposing rotation of the stars north and south of the equator.....their predictably rise or fall in proportion to degrees of latitude traveled....
No matter what latitude you set up your telescope at .....you can perfectly track any star in a perfect circle around the polar axis.....no hint of perspective foreshortening.........


There is nowhere over a flat surface you can put the sun or stars that will result in the same angles that have been observed for thousands of years all over the planet.....only a circular curve can account for it....


Ships sailing over the horizon.....buildings and mountaintops peeking over the horizon....

The horizon dropping below eye level as you rise in altitude.....


These are all simple observations that prove the curvature of Earth.....
Things you can do in your backyard.....or hiking up a mountain trail with a water level......or renting a boat and sailing a few miles out.....
Or....at the most extreme.... driving a thousand miles north or south from your current latitude....


If you still wish to insist the earth is flat....then you must concede that everything we see in the heavens are some kind of magical hologram......diabolically engineered to adjust to each viewers unique perspective....with the sole purpose of mimicking what we should see standing on the surface of a sphere....

No human agency could construct such an illusion......or hide its properties with disinformation.....

Wait, wait, wait... you think that the SKY and the SEA converge PHYSICALLY? Oh Jesus. I had a feeling I was talking to a pseudo-intellectual, now it's confirmed. Go find a Biden thread or something. Jesus.

This guy makes several errors that appear to be deliberate......

First he claims to use a UN north pole projection map....
That map does not distort distances latitude.....meaning the diameter is the circumference of earth....I use a value of 24883.2 for ease of calculations......

This map results in an equatorial circumference of 39+ thousand miles.....

Now he can scale this all down so it will produce an equator the same length of a globe earth.....but it will shave approximately 10,000 miles off the map.....resulting in a distance of only about 650 miles from Florida to wisconsin....which would be nice....because then I could drive that in about 11 hours.....

If he uses this scale for his map....then the distance from the equator to the 45th parallel will be 1980 miles.....so with his height of 1651 miles.....people are already seeing the sun lower from its correct angle than they do at 45 degrees north and south.....

The second problem is his value for angle A....89.99 degrees.....he never calculated that from anything...he just pulled it out his butt and plugged it into the equation.....

You can't calculate a triangle with only 1 side given.....you can make the sun any height you want by changing that angle....
For instance......if you make that angle 89.991.....the height of the sun becomes 1833 miles......
With a.value of 89.99166 the height of the sun becomes 1980 miles.....right where it should be for his small scaled map......

If we make that angle 89.994......then the sun is 2750 miles up.....


But wait.....we actually can calculate what angle a person should see the sun 1521 feet from the equator in the real world.....

1 degree of latitude is 69.12 miles......or 364,953.6 Feet......

1521 feet is then .004 degrees.....

90 degrees minus .004 = 89.996 degrees....

This gives a height of 4125 miles up for the sun.....

At that height......on this small scaled map.....the sun would be a whopping 19.3 degrees higher than it should be from the 45th parallels on the equinox.....

Flat earth geometry is gibberish.....

Is this a flat Earth documentary? I saw one last year that was pretty good, but not wholly convincing. I'll give this one a go as flat Earth seems to be becoming big in 2022.
