I know this is a top-of-the-line for that year other than the Skyliner LOL but I'm almost positive it's a Galaxy Fairlane 500

I have a 67 Mercury four-door with the 410 Mercury and a C6 automatic transmission I want the 410 Mercury to put in the 59 because the Mercury had a fire and the body lines are straight but everything else is pretty well gone except for the engine transmission which I'm going to rebuild I plan on

If the car was totally level the top worked fine. If you were parked going uphill or downhill? Not so much.

My cousin had one, got the interior wet a time or two trying to get to level ground...

Let's talk about old cars. I've got an old Duster I am finishing up but lately it's been WAY too hot to work in the garage. I am looking forward to fall when I can finish the wiring.

I've got the trunk wired, the interior and dash wired. Just have to do all of the exterior lights.

[/quoaa I've done some restorations. With all the time expended you'll never get back what you put into one. I do it for myself rather than making money off that work and parts. I DO KNOW people that spend two years of work on a restoration and then get it finished and sell it and start a new one. That's crazy.

BTW....I've restored an old classic Honda motorcycle from the frame up and when I ride somewhere with a buddy that has a newer motorcycle people look at mine. They could care less about his. LOL

I've had both of my cars for 25+ years. I don't flip cars I build them to keep.

Awesome and happy for you! Nothing like an old classic car to tinker with or restore! I'd love to find a 55 or 56 Buick Special or Riviera myself!

`So do I. I will run them until there is no life left in them. I was an aircraft mechanic for years and take care of things.

I would love to have built a 55-57 Thunderbird kit car and use a 289 instead of that big monster heavy 312.....and updated with disc brakes etc. etc. At my age it is just a fantasy now.
