Many peppers all ready live in remote/rural locations. There won't be any need to "get out of town" as they already are. For those people it's better to spend energy on supplies rather than going anywhere.

In the spirit of non-preparation, you really should open the trunk of your car and run an ice pick though the side wall of your spare tire. Or just discard it to save weight.

If I'm going to come after you I'm not walking up your drive way. I come in from backside of the property in the middle of the night with my night vision googles and ghillie suit close in to within 150 yds and take a 24 hour assessment of the number of the property, number of occupants and defenses. Hey, do not be anxious for anything. Also try to not worry about tomorrow. I have stuff, but I trust in God more. Many say guns and materials etc, but rely on God and have that relationship to carry/see you through, that's it. I've never used camping stuff, but started getting it late in life, looking at the timing of how it went down so far. Trust in God and now.

Survivalism is being able to deal with different scenarios.....you're gonna run off to the woods to weather a recession?....or what about a first aid situation?.....or a disrupted supply chain?.....

There are many situations that are not the zombie apocalypse or nuclear war.....

I dipped into my stuff many times since I was prepped in the late 80's.....blackouts that lasted 2 weeks, storm of the century blizzard, and rendering first aid in a car accident....

I agree than knowledge is the best prep, but stuff makes it easier....

Maybe you watch to much TV. If you watch the people in charge of this realm, you will see that they like to preserve their chaos for wars so they seem to enjoy sporting controlled chaos. It doesn't seem to me that with all the police and military and bioweaponry defending them that they would allow a "mad max" scenario to get too out of hand.

I've seen natural disasters in Texas and although there are some A$$ holes there is by far more good people who help each other.

I don't believe there intent is to starve people to death in the "developed" countries, but rather make them hungry enough to sign up for the universal digital system to get food and housing etc. Once that is accomplished they can weed out what they find of no use systematically and at a speed that they decide. New cities need to be built and old cities need to be taken down, and the number of people needed with or without bots will be great.

So the only way I see mad max is if they lose control of the situation which seems unlikely. I will have no problem bartering or working with other survival minded and good hearted people. I can grow and teach people to grow something as simple as lettuce in 30 days so the food issue can be addressed quickly. You see in Texas while there are bad guys, the majority of the citizen's carry God in their heart and it is by that inner moral compass that they will turn to in time of need. They also carry guns in Texas so there will be plenty of good people guarding my garden lot for me while I grow and teach gardening to whomever needs to know. My preps aren't for me, but for the people God will send into my life that I haven't even met yet.

Bottom line, you will die one day. It will be either lights out or judgement day and I would rather not stand before my God humiliated by my desperate inhumane actions on earth but rather show God that in the times of chaos I was a beacon of light in the darkness. Everything else is illusion!
