Ancient societies did invent mathematics, astrology (which laid the foundation for astronamy) alchemy (which laid the ground work for chemistry) they invented language, writing, named everything, the invention of iron working, agriculture, religion, masonry, and so on. Then all of the sudden Galileo has to use a telescope to "re-tell" a dumbed down world that there is a companion star to sirius A? yea, sophistication. you better go read some fucking books... you reckon they did'nt have idiots thousands of years ago. Also I reckon you'll find the macdonalds and burger king supply chain of food is orders of magnitude more sophisticated than the ancients. Not everyone buys an I-Phone and marketing does not work on everybody. True we are the same people, with the same brains etc. We however have the benefit of mass education, mass transport etc. So let me make sure I'm getting you straight on this one. You reckon that all modern tech etc so completely worthless. If it was'nt for modern stuff I we would'nt even be haveing this discussian. All that sirius B stuff is not really proven either. But then I reckon your definition of proof is a bit looser than mine. Also the Sirius B stuff is the one with the Dogon is it not. The Dogon who played host to a group of French astronomers who where there to study a solar eclipse. Sirius being a bright close star that is in their religeon. Would they not have spoken to the wise and learned modern french astronomers about their favorite star???? |

If that did happen UK would be pretty hellish as we have a high population density, after a couple of years of mega deaths though it would settle down and not be so bad. After all we have had the forsight to extinct all large predators on our merry Island. There are no poisonous animals in the UK, our weather is annoying but relatively benign. Surviving in the wild in the UK would be easy compared with surviving in your much more wild land. Also for your info British TV is shit now, It was better when we only had five channels, and even then I did'nt watch it. |
