Why do people hate Jesus so much?

The reason I can potentially accept the existence of "demons" is that they hypothetically would not respect the free will of humans.... and would try to influence us. It's just a metaphysical layer of the whole "I hear radio transmissions in my dental fillings" thing... not much farther out there than any other GLP theory you know?

It's not hate, it's just we can't believe a story told to us by an elite that are proven liars. How can we believe the wackiest of all fairy tales, we don't know who wrote the bible, much less 2000 years ago, so there is no credibility. People are gullible and fear death, and the elite exploited this and have tried to control us through false deity punishment based religions. You can only put so much blind trust in something or mystical space santa clause that can't EVER see and have NEVER seen. 2000 years is a long time to not have any proof. Folklore and deception interwined to fear, confusion, and forcing us to play the victim does not sound like a basis one can confidently base their eternal salvation on.

Why do people hate Jesus so much?

It is not Jesus (we know next to nothing about him - if he ever existed at all) it is the people using his name and man-made "image" trying to shove their dogmas and other BS down our throat.

Not many people hate Jesus. They hate Jesus freaks.

There is no problem with some religion here and there, but people who start religious threads once a day, several times a day.

You know who you are, are making a bad name for Jesus.

So, tell, me who really hates Jesus? People who are annoyed by Jesus freaks, or are the people who are giving Jesus a bad name by being preoccupied with Jesus and religion who are hating Jesus by turning people away from spirituality by thinking that if they become Christians that they too must also become preoccupied with religion in order to be a faithful member.

Faith and preoccupation with Jesus and religion are not the same thing. They are opposed to each other, faith and preoccupation with Jesus.

Actually a lack of faith and a lack of strong spirituality and growth lead to a preoccupation with Jesus. It's almost like these preoccupied types are trying to convince themselves they have faith.

Honestly, it's probably because of the insane people that tell you you're not 'saved' or going to 'Heaven' if you don't have faith. That disdain for those people is then projected to the actual belief system.

I'm talking about Jesus, not Christians.

I don't dislike christians across the board - I can bear them in small doses on a case-by-case basis. Part of the problem is people's personality types: If all christians would take a Myers Briggs survey, I'd bet the farm that our churches are full of only a couple different varieties of personalities. These are the shiny extroverts who don't seem to understand people or experiences outside their little realm. They make sure you know they're christian, and they're practically wrapped in the trappings of the subculture. It's like they go around acting a certain way, which kind of makes you (meaning me) wonder if any of Him is really taking root in there.

Actual people with actual souls don't seem to care for any of this, so it's not all that far-fetched for them to conclude that Jesus must be what's "wrong" with these folks. I doubt that anyone who "hates" Jesus has ever really met Him, because He's exactly what each of us need.

Most humans are not wanton evildoers. Yes, we're all defective and in need of redemption, but the line that "People hate Jesus cuz they love their sin" is just another symptom of folks who need to get out more. Jesus is like water for a thirsty soul, but clones keep trying to flavor it with all kinds of crap.

My philosophy is, it scares the demons that live in them, and believe.

Never met 'em, but it sounds like they're here. Some or all of them may turn out to be fallen angels, but I decided we'll see when/if the time ever comes. Legitimate angels could just as easily be "aliens" as fallen ones, in my book.

The comment about people having demons is just more noise from church-bots who can't conceive of anyone not liking church-bots. Why do christians so readily and eagerly assume the worst?

Good point. They also want a God that lives down to their expectations and allows them absolute license, instead of One Who expects them to live up to His standards. Others just don't want any accountability. Remember these are the End Days- the love of many will wax cold and there will be scoffers. Don't share their hate back with them. Be kind, loving, and generous to them. Be blameless and upright. Make sure they've heard the Gospel and otherwise do not let their heathen ways infect you.

Christianity says that Jesus was resurrected after his death. You have to believe it because there is no proof, no evidence. In the contemporary literature of Jesus Christ’s life, even the name of Jesus is not mentioned. Do you think a phenomenon like a man getting crucified, getting resurrected, would go unnoticed? that a man who brings dead people to life would not be reported anywhere? that a man who walks on water…?

Do you think this man would have been crucified? He would have been hailed as the messiah by the Jews themselves, because what more do you want? — none of your other prophets have done anything of this kind.

Ah - now I understand the aliens question above. I do believe demons exist, and some folks *do* have attachments that trouble them. The assertion that "most everybody has demons that make them hate Jesus" is what's so retarded.
If we christers would put our feet back on the ground and get to know people and understand them (and even respect them), we *might* be less prone to seeing the devil everywhere, perhaps?

--A bridge out or a bomb in a building are provable.

--Your evil, fucked up "buddy" created the bomb to be invisible, and made the building invisible ON PURPOSE so that people would be confused and wander into it... but you don't understand why we find that neither believable nor lovable.

--The supposed "proof" of the invisible building and bomb is contradictory, confusing, and generally unbelievable (I mean, come on, invisible buildings?? A monster god who promotes slavery?? NOT BELIEVABLE!).
