Anonymous Coward User ID: 970914 United States 02/03/2011 08:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Serious question. I find it curious. Quoting: RikerIts not about hate, its about being spiritually hijacked, and indoctrinated by the state with its many false religions and doctrines!! It's about being punished for the actions of others (your Adam and Eve), for which a true loving divine entity would have no part of!! It's about being tricked into worshiping false gods, which the OT god certainly is!! Many have different valid reasons, all of which is nothing about hate!! ___________ If it expects or demands worship, it is not divine!! Jesus was a rebel, who threw off the demands of the state and religious authorities and was killed for it. If corrupt people wanted to bury him literally and figuratively, how would that make him responsible for their actions? Is it punishment for Adam and Eve's sin or our own? Is it punishment or is it a natural consequence of breaking the Laws of Creation? If there are false gods, who is the True God, and how do you know? Those were some good stories.... I love a good story, ever hear the ones from Greek mythology? Those were pretty good too. You should keep reading, there's a ton of them out there... None of them make much since to me though. |

Quoting: RikerI dont think it is jesus that people hate, though I question how much of the story of jesus as it is portrayed in the bible is actually true. It is the dickhead fundamentalist christians that claim they know exactly what the bible meant, & are far from christian in the way they think & behave. They are the type who are always jumping up & down with joy everytime their is a war or natural disaster (that dosn't affect them of course) cause they think it is signalling the 'end times'. They are perverted small minded people who need to get a life, & let everybody else live theirs without trying to push their sick perverted ideas on everybody. |

(OP) User ID: 1181030 United States 02/03/2011 08:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Jesus gave us an indication why he was hated in John 8:31-47. The Pharisees were arguing with Jesus (as usual) and they insisted that “the only Father we have is God Himself”. A small snip of Jesus’ response was “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and am now here… You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire”. Quoting: ResisterIt’s really no more complicated than that. Of course, telling someone they are the spawn of Satan isn’t exactly a great way to win friends and influence enemies, and tactless people have given popular Christianity a very bad image by leading off with that instead of grace and forgiveness which is what Jesus emphasized more than anything else. Jesus also told us that we also would be hated because of him in John 15. It should be no surprise then when you see all the haters that show up on every thread about Christianity. They don’t see themselves for what they are and they are angered because they feel wrongfully accused. They reject the judgment of God Himself. How much more His Son? And we? Yeah, we really piss them off because we are not worthy to judge in the first place and too many Christians forget that. Thank you for such an honest answer Resister :-) You shall know the TRUTH, and the TRUTH shall set you free. ********************************* rikerglp (at) gmail.com ********************************* |

Now how "christian" is that? Faith and Proof are mutually exclusive. To prove something to someone is to remove God from the equation since the answer must come from a material resource, one that is finite. First you must decide, even if it's only as an experiment (and you must admit that doing this could not harm you) to simply decide to spend time believing. Give it a day, a week, or however much time you are willing to grant the experiment. Really decide that during that time you will be open on every level to believing. Approach reality that way. After the time elapses, then return here and reevaluate your question on your own. Only you can do this. No one else can prove God to you or answer that question. This is one way to do it. I think that you can also do it by actual reason and research though, as long as you are willing to do it with an open mind which isn't easy to truly do, especially when it challenges your life directly. Quoting: RikerMy philosophy is, it scares the demons that live in them, and believe. I agree this is one of true answers. Everyone has at least an association with demons due to the frailty of the minds of men. ..but those that hate Jesus are those that have decided to bed down with the demons... they are easy to recognize. They are vicious, they deny responsibility, they are flagrantly immoral. These are simply fanatical, delusional inaccuracies that exist in your feverish mind only... you think that only those who believe as you are moral?? Your simply wrong and speaking like this shows how uneducated you actually are. This is the kind of stuff that makes wars against others, You need to grow up a little with your religious belief if you expect anyone to take you seriously, instead of putting up this false facade of superiority with all this demon talk about being inside people around you who don't think like you, how childish. If you spoke like this to most {believing} Bible scholars they would simply laugh at you and suggest you seek treatment... |
