NEWEST UPDATE 8:45am Oct 27th - 6z GFS STILL BRINGS MASSIVE DANGEROUS 950mb STORM TO COAST. LATE MONDAY OR TUESDAY.

All latest ecmwf 0z, CMC and NoGAPS 0z runs still continues to bring in this potent storm directly up the coast! These models also do not have the storm quite as potent. But please be advised, the storm will still be terribly dangerous with central pressure near 945 or 950. I will continue to update as new runs emerge.

What's the latest EURO model showing regarding landfall?

South NJ here.

Weathers forecasts shows wind of 28mph max during this storm for my area.

Western Maine here and the NWS and local forecasters are calling for 40-60mph winds and 2-4 inches of rain.

Nothing like a "Typical" Maine Nor'easter

Somewhere around NJ or areas SLIGHTLY south.

It's called "the gulf stream" and it brings warm water all up the eastern US coast. The gulf stream goes right up the coast and then hangs a right and goes out into the northern Atlantic and across the ocean into UK.

With all due respect Anon. The image is labeled "Temperature Abomaly" Not quite "Temperature" So the image simply states that the waters outside the US East Coast are warmer then usual. Not warmer then the Gulf. That would be my educated guess.
