I'm thankful for all the negs I'm getting to my Karma. Thank you! :) Just further proves my point that religious people are lower-frequency beings...

They'll beat their chests and claim that ________ is the CHOSEN ONE, but they'll completely ignore their own faith by attempting to remove motes while ignoring the beams in their own eye.

OP you are now closer to truth than you ever have been. You do infact feel in a way much closer to it but at the same time you realize how far it is, almost, if not totally unreachable in this current form. The great thing about learning even a hint of truth is that you have actually the tools to achieve this bit of information. Im still continuing in this path and hopefully you do too. Its not always easy but its much more stabilizing than to be brainwashed to believe what ever without personal experience and true understanding. Doubt is your best ally, not certainty.

Re: A Spiritual Experience that Answered as Much as it Created New Sets of Questions
I have gone through a similar thing a couple times. First time was at a low point near suicide when I was about 21.
And again about 18 years later when unemployed for 6 months. These are awakenings... rebirths, new instructions being delivered. They can last for weeks or months at a high level until the new paradigm is incorporated in your brain. Whether from god or from your subconscious, it is a chance to change your future by changing your thoughts. What are your true goals and what are the obstacles that YOU have created to prevent them. That is what this is about. Dont get too dragged into esoteric realms... that is the part of you tjat is resisting and trying to throw out distractions from the message. The ego is terrified of change and will misdirect you with false euphoria and lead you into the cul de saq of.. "I'm special". I can share more if you are interested.
 Quoting: LogicBomber

Please share more about your findings. I'm interested to know especially what new meanings did you find for your life and where does love stand in this new paradigm.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22618932

In the end. It is ALL about love. Honestly, to go through the details would possibly give resonance with some.. but again, most of it is distraction from the real answer. Love is the only thing that you can gain in this world that is worth anything. Truly understanding what Love means is what the journey is about.

You can either choose to be a taker or a giver. All the religion, witchcraft, or any other magical path you take is only worth something when you do it out of real love, not selfish love, and the goal is to help others.

Many paths will try to deceive you with what Love is, in order to totally corrupt you. They will try to convince you that since God is within you, then pleasing yourself is loving God. That is the easy, quick path to the "Dark Side". Though they do not necessarily know it, many seekers today are just diluted results of the Thelemite tradition that is not so subtly pushed through today's media. Beware reading that kind of material. It is psychological rape.

I'm jumping ahead a little with that - but i had to make that point up front.

For me, the first thoughts that indefinitely postponed suicide and started "the journey" were that if i was going to die, why not attempt to follow my wildest dreams as far as i could and if THEN i was still feeling hopeless - I could always end it later... next came the dreams about the Pyramids and the Sphynx and Yin/Yang - followed by reading tons of material about them... was "led" to meet my Wife... zecharia sitchin.. ..wiccan stuff, then came the alien info.. ..was i an alien?... ..walk-ins... dreams about 2nd sun, comets/asteroid impacts.... then came a synchronicity that led me to the Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. Then came tons of synchronicity that led me to start playing guitar and realizing that my path was to play in a band with my wife that would change the world... then came synchronicities that started to make that happen... then came the rock and roll lifestyle that would derail me for a decade.. A lot of good and bad came from that phase.

There is a lot i can fill in from the above phase, but the only real part of it was meeting my wife. That is what kept me sane through all the "learning" as I ultimately accepted or denied the info based on how it affected the real magic between us. If it made it stronger and better - it was correct. If it caused separation, it was not. I lost sight of this many times over the years, but returning to it has always been the answer.

I'll share more of the second phase and maybe explain more of the first phase in a later post..
 Quoting: LogicBomber

Awesome recount of what feels like an epic journey LB, thanks for sharing. I can relate to a lot of it. What a ride its been and continues to be.

OP, read The Forgotten Books of Eden, the Book of Adam and Eve 1 & 2 You can google it and read it online for free.

It tells of the original deception, and also tells how satan kept changing himself to trick adam and eve into following him. He appeared bright, like an angel, and even sang praises to God, he went to any extent to trick them and they kept falling for it. Adam and Eve wanted to be divine, to be their own god.

Do yourself a favor and read that book before you make any life altering decisions.

Re: A Spiritual Experience that Answered as Much as it Created New Sets of Questions
OP I got some negative karma from my reply in this thread too.

But I'll take it, it's expected when you start finding truth, naturally you want to share it. Unfortunately though, it's always going to be a solitary journey - it's an experience through self. There is one universal truth and the path is narrow. Don't worry about the judgements of others OP, people spend way too much time trying to project things on others instead of worrying about themselves. You've seen a light, you want to share it, but truth is others must find the light on their own accord. You know your personal truth, that's all that matters. Good on you.
 Quoting: DelusionsOfGrandeur

Well said D. O. G.- OP just remember one thing. We are spiritual beings in a human body. Your experience is just the start of a path to an upward spiral. As your consciousness expands, you will continue to receive higher truths. Many believe in ultimate truths-but there is always a higher teaching to all subjects. This is the path that Jesus, Buddah and Krishna took on their journey to reach personal Christhood while they were in embodiment. It's the same journey we must all make to escape the great wheel of reincarnation. Namaste!

Re: A Spiritual Experience that Answered as Much as it Created New Sets of Questions
Congrats, OP and thank-you for sharing your experience and thoughts.

I was raised christian. I had an unexpected and spontaneous 'awakening' in 2008. It led me to question everything I had ever been taught. I decided to set every belief I had to the side and explore. If I found that the beliefs still worked, I would come back to them, if not, I needed to let them go. It was the scariest and most enlightening experience of my life.

I feel so blessed for the initial experience and for the ones that continue. I've never looked back or been more alive in my life.

I've barely scratched the surface and look forward to every day...

"There is the feeling that you are not doing it yourself, but that it is somehow happening on its own, and you wonder whether you will lose it—as indeed you may if you try forcibly to hold on to it. In immediate contrast to the old feeling, there is indeed a certain passivity to the sensation, as if you were a leaf blown along by the wind, until you realize that you are both the leaf and the wind. The world outside your skin is just as much you as the world inside: they move together inseparably, and at first you feel a little out of control because the world outside is so much vaster than the world inside. Yet you soon discover that you are able to go ahead with ordinary activities—to work and make decisions as ever, though somehow this is less of a drag. Your body is no longer a corpse which the ego has to animate and lug around. There is a feeling of the ground holding you up, and of hills lifting you when you climb them. Air breathes itself in and out of your lungs, and instead,of looking and listening, light and sound come to you on their own. Eyes see and ears hear as wind blows and water flows. All space becomes your mind. Time carries you along like a river, but never flows out of the present: the more it goes, the more it stays, and you no longer have to fight or kill it."-A.watts

Good ole Alan watts. OP, have you listened to some of the publicized Masters, such as Lester Levenson, Ramana Maharshi, Sri Nisargadatta, Robert Adams? Ramana's short booklet, "Who Am I?" likewise describes the experience. My #1 desire is total vanishment of the mind, resolution of the mind.

Re: A Spiritual Experience that Answered as Much as it Created New Sets of Questions
When you said that you left your family, then I knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that Satan has tricked you and is now ready to possess your soul and spirit. God never tells anybody to pack up and leave their family. Unless their lives are in grave danger; and even then, it is rare. So Satan and his demons are tricking you into believing that God is something else, rather than what you have been taught or told. I have been preaching for 37 years and I have been a Spirit filled and born again Christian for 39 years; and I have seen this before. And it will lead you to ruin and horrible consequences!!

Don't fall for the deception. I'm sure your experience was real, but if it wasn't from God, than who was it from?
You say you are\were a Christian. So, I would suggest you take this to God in prayer. You are eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Jesus is the tree of Life. Your "download" sounds like demonic possession to me.

Ask yourself...Did this experience glorify Jesus or you?

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 41490081

Translation: "You who've tasted the universe, come back to the herd! I've got an effing book for you instead. Deal?"

No, thank you very much.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 44193449

Perfect. That sums it up for me too.

There are varying degrees of "enlightenment"......Reality is a fractal with no end or beginning- so an awakening can consist of anything from a temporary expanded consciousness to full blown God Realization.

Even then most awakenings are fleeting- lasting anywhere from seconds to days or weeks.

BUT WHEN "IT" HAPPENS....(listen up bibletards) -

You KNOW exactly what it is. If I have seen into the Mind of God-even for 1 second- do you think any "religion" is still going to have any power over me??? Ha!

Don't you understand? TRUE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE will trump anything else! Think Saul on the road to Damascus!! Yes this DOES HAPPEN in this day and age too.

THIS is the type of thing that Jesus and other prophets WANT you to experience!!!
Not to go to a Sunday social club and gossip about who's wearing what!!!! WTH good is that?

THAT shit is NOT TRUE SPIRITUALITY.

You think Satan is in New age teachings?
Well- back at ya! There is no Satan- but if there was he would be running the Christian Church!
What a den of vipers and evil boasting! Shame on you for attacking someones spritual experience!!!!!!! Is that what your Jesus teaches???
What a shameful joke you are.
Shit!
What are you thinking???? WAKE UP!
How dare you judge someone over the most important experience of their life!

How many of you Christians (or your spiritual leaders) have EVER -
Been on your knees, with your jaw agape- eyes wide in utter and total AWE at seeing into the Mind of God!!!!!!
with tears streaming down your face- unable to speak!!!!
And all you can think is OH MY GOD!
OH MY GOD!
OH MY GOD!
OHHHHH MYYYY GODDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you realize w/o any shadow of doubt.................. that...... You are God.

Now multiply this pitiful description x 1000.

This is a small glimpse into higher spiritual awakening.

Trust me- playing Sunday dress-up isn't quite the same after THAT.
(Oh but I guess since it wasn't sanctioned by Pastor HolierThanThou I guess it's invalid.Darn. Better go back to church...LOL)

The ONLY reason we are here is to Wake the Hell Up and to REMEMBER! Remember who we REALLY ARE. To Remember that We are ALL GOD. Only then will the fighting end and real life begin.

Until then you are all just mental masturbating your way through life. NO-ONE can show you the WAY except yourself. Find the God within...right where your Jebus told you to look.

Your best bet is to convince that little voice in your head (Ego) to shut the hell up for a change. How many of you EVER have felt real quiet....w/o blah-blah-blah inside your head??
HMMMM?
Yea that's what I thought.
How is God sposed to speak when you never shut up?

Namaste-

Holy shit. Let me clear something up right now...because people aren't smart enough to read themselves...

I DON'T HAVE ANY CHILDREN. BUT NOW I'M SEEING SOMEONE WHO I WILL LIKELY HAVE CHILDREN WITH SOME DAY.

I NEVER MENTIONED HAVING ANY CHILDREN.

I WAS MARRIED FOR NEARLY FOUR YEARS, NOT A DAMN LIFETIME.

MY WIFE WAS HAPPY, I WAS NOT. NOW WE'RE BOTH HAPPY. IT HAS FULFILLED BOTH OF US.

It is pretty apparent to me who the foolish ones are at this point...the questions I had were answered by the Christians themselves, it appears, who have now appeared (in this particular thread alone) as book-thumpers with no real arguments but plenty of "intent" (which, to me, is just blabbering any more...doesn't even make any sense to me). If you truly understood the scriptures, then this experience wouldn't be a problem...

First time I've ever said this, but seriously...

Bible Tards.

OP when you get the chance later can you share some of the wisdom that you have gained?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3022139

Life is a game that we play on ourselves. When I discovered that, I did what a lot of people described spontaneously - I LAUGHED AND LAUGHED. It really is funny to discover that YOU are the one playing this game on YOURSELF...

Astrology and Numerology ARE meaningful. In fact, everything a person experiences is meaningful to them personally. This IS a subjective experience, no doubt about it. You can only see things through the lens of "I AM"...there does not exist an "I WAS" or an "I WILL BE". We are all "I AM" all of the time...always. This is the Eternal Now. Nothing else exists except in a dream state. We create our own symbology through our perception/experience for the purpose of waking ourselves up...or not. If we become obsessed/transfixed on the physical world, assuming that it's the all-important and the ultimate meaning, then we will never make that spiritual gain in this life. It's when we look beyond the matter into the unknown that it's able to reveal itself to us. That we can awaken to our selves.

Love is ultimate. There is nothing greater than the expression of true love. Shared love being the highest vibration in the Universe. Love and light always fold into hate and darkness, but even in its receipt it cannot be consumed nor destroyed.

What keeps us from awakening? Belief. What helps us awaken? Faith. There is a vast difference between the two. One is decided upon...one is settled into.

The will to power is real. It is the darkness of spirituality. You can will yourself into being...and even "control your destiny" to some degree. My personal awakening came as a result of the most significant charitable event I've ever participated in...it still brings me to tears at what happened. I'd literally made a decision to put someone else's life above mine in a profound way - never knowing that the decision itself would result in my turning around to come back home and, while not fixing everything (actually just continuing the journey), it put me on the CORRECT path, instead of the path I chose because of belief.

The most profound thing I learned was that we are all God in the way a drop of water is part of an ocean. Most faiths look outside themselves for God...wishing that a woman/man would swoop out of the heavens and save them from things...this is not true any more to me. I no longer pray outside of myself to a god that sits in a room, or on a throne, or chillin' in some heavenly field of daisies - I literally have a conversation with my genuine self, who is God, and who knows better than my own human mind, anything at all. I was a bonafide (and SSSAAAAVVVVVEEEEDDD hallelujah!) Christian for 30 years. 30 YEARS. I never had one answer that was ever this profound. I've learned more in six months than I ever learned in my previous 30 years.

I'm smarter and healthier than I've ever been as well. I can sense/see things that I would have previously poo-poo'ed in others...and now I feel like a damn fool because of it at times.

I used to care about politics - big time. I don't care any more. I see the game.

I used to care about RELIGION - it was my life. I don't care any more. I see the game.

I used to believe in psychiatry - I thought it had answers. Nope. Just another way to control the masses and keep us all from having personal spiritual experiences.

What's funny is that I never attacked anyone in my original post or thoughts...yet I was thoroughly attacked by the "GLP Crusaders"...kinda sums things up for me pretty well, to be honest. It's pretty clear none can be described as "meek or lowly of heart".

Thread: The Forgotten Books of Eden
 Quoting: Lisa*Lisa

Lisa Lisa, I respect your beliefs but ask you to consider a few things. In my world I believe the greatest deception ever is the belief that Jesus took the burden of all mankinds sins by His death on the cross. Why do I believe this? Because it abdicates all responsibility for what we do wrong to Jesus. Where are the lessons to be learned if we are not accountable for what we do wrong? If you truly believe Jesus died for our sins, then we have no free will. If free will is truly free, then there should be no condition whatsoever that would prevent one from finding their way back to Source/God on their own. It can't be any other way. If you believe Jesus died for our sins, then you believe God created us as miserable sinners. Do see the flawed logic there? We couldn't possibly be created flawed if we are created in God's Image and likeness. The story of the fall as most understand it is misunderstood. There were thousands who in their training to reach higher levels of spirituality needed to pass the test of separateness from source. During this test, many tasted this state of being and wanted to explore it, not disobedience, but an allowed outcome of their spiritual path. Of course those that chose this path lost being at a much higher spiritual level and became subject to karma and reincarnation. So we were never sinners and thus never needed somebody to save us. I wish you peace in your journey.

Re: A Spiritual Experience that Answered as Much as it Created New Sets of Questions
Christianity is to first-hand spiritual experiences what McDonalds is compared to real food. Christians know that, that's why they're so passive-aggressive towards people who nourish themselves with the real food.

Since you don't know God, you are not qualified to make such a statement. The restoration of all things will occur and it isn't for everyone, only those who belong to God. This requires you to belong to Christ. You obviously do not and will shortly be on the outside looking in.

so know that you are so enlightned above the minions, what is the purpose of life? What is your new mission to feed the poor, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless? Or was this just one baddas, selfish journey, full of self-righteous lies to make YOU feel better?

Been hearing this "shortly you will know the truth!!" my entire life...

YAWN.

Yes, here it comes, just around the corner!!

There is no corner. Just one big eternal line.

What will spring Armageddon? Christians wanting to kill Muslims and Muslims wanting to kill Jews and Jews wanting to kill them both? It's a fantasy created by the religious. In some ways it will be a good thing if it touches off...then mankind can move on from it and discover the real truth behind all of these faiths.

enjoy. God is you, experiencing himself, through you. For without you, there would only be a "knowing"....recreate yourself with every breath, and enjoy every moment. I'm happy for you

^^^^^^^^This, totally!! Well said LL. Happy for you too OP, stay humble, shine light, all's well. Not sure how I feel about the "left the child" thing though, if in fact you did. Hope you do the right thing there. That was always my problem with Buddah too, he left his child at the palace to go out and seek. I guess we could say the child wanted the experience of being left, maybe to wrap up some karma, IDK, not sure.
 Quoting: Isis One

No, its not well said. You are NOT God but you are your own nothing god. You live in the darkness, without the living spirit of God inside you, literally because you don't believe. You cannot own or possess what you don't believe in or ask for. Only God can recreate you, its not in your mind. Fix your own corrupted DNA all by yourself then. Go ahead. Thats what God is about to do for those who belong to Christ as part of their salvation as the end is here.
