You can actually dig down with a shovel and the utility is there. think it has something to do with previously disturbed soils. as for finding actual water underground, not sure if it is possible to validate without drilling a well, even then the water may have been there anyhow. |

I knew an old woman that worked for the U.S. govt dowsing wells in remote areas. She was incredibly accurate. never missed one. She dowsed at least a 100 wells for private people and govt. just don't try to make money dowsing except to get paid for water wells. Alot of people dowse for gold etc. They NEVER find it. There is some universal law against it? I've known alot of dowsers. Even that old lady couldn't make any money on dowsing for precious metals/treasures. She could tell you where a vein ran, but not a vein that held enough gold to make much money. frustrated the hell out of her. |

My first experience was as a curious child attempting to see if dowsing would work alas it did, and was an experience that was never forgotten. Even though I wish to try dowsing on our retirement ranchland, it might be an unfair test due to being in the middle of the Great Divide Basin but perhaps shallow areas of water will be identified. Have panned for gold and have never thought of using dowsing, as a method of finding gold this is a hobby venture with no desire to get rich quick on my part however finding flakes of gold is fun. Do understand your perspective concerning greedy people wanting to misuse a gift to benefit themselves financially instead of finding water for their survival. |

He uses metal rods, but I like branch or pendulum.I located the spring that we have as our water source at our cabin. Never even tried it until a few years ago, late in life. My brother said that our grandfather's brother taught our uncles how to douse, maybe it runs in families *** Good deeds bring rewards, bad actions bring troubles. That is a law of the universe. *** |

People who dowse might tend to brush off that miracle of God because God let Satan power and your faith is tested. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 75373014 United States 11/25/2017 03:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I use dowsing mot just for water. I made my own dower.. one steel coat hanger remove the top hook, cur the remaining steel in half and then the short end straighten to make a L shape. use two own pens remove the ink etc then place the short ends into the pen, allow enough at the bass to bend it to stop the pen from falling down. hold my using the pen not tight and allow the steel to move at will. A cross is when the 2 cross over each other showing a yes and a strong sign, it the ends turn out wards it is a no and nothing there. THis works and is also good for any here that use dowsing for other reasons, it does not have to be copper. |

Only from the mind of Satan. It is therefore a form of mediumahip, no different than someone with a crystal ball, giving way for demons to channel through. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 51846471 You didnt say if Jesus answered you. I also asked Him and He did answer me. I asked if it was evil, like witchcraft. He said it is NOT. Apparently it can also be used for other things, to locate things other than water. I believe it is a natural phenomenon and apparently quite accurate and useful. I'll say this. take it as you will. There are universal laws in place...just like there are physical laws. Using dowsing, or any gift for monetary gain is 'against the rules'. Yes, it will work for a 'trial run'. For example, you are goofing around finding a nugget or two. But..when you focus on making a living of it...it won't work. Seriously. I'd prefer to not go into my experiences of this, but everything I've said is the truth. Finding peoples lost items, yup. it works. finding water. yes. Many times, the results of dowsing are completely miraculous...astounding even. but trying to make money, even a living...nope. Same with using remote viewing, or any other 'supernatural' gift or power. It's like hitting a brick wall. A solid brick wall. |
