Anonymous Coward User ID: 75520700 United States 05/11/2018 09:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | On Thanksgiving of 2016 I started having significant pain and pressure in my chest. I went to the ER. Quoting: Dr. Acula After tests... doctors determined I had a moderate heart attack. So docs sent me to the cath lab and they looked inside my heart. Turns out I had: 100% Blockage (which was old) 90% blockage 70% Blockage And FIVE 40% blockages. After a couple of caths to implant stents I was gave the all clear and released. The old 100% blockage had bypassed it's self. Which is rare to happen! Turns out I had at least 5 heart attacks before this one. The kicker I didn't have any heart damage. So not only did I survive a 100% blockage... rare! But walked around with it for a year. I had no damage to my heart. I thank Jesus and Bourbon for that. My daily cup of bourbon thinned my blood enough that I didnt die. I was 31 at the time of the last heart attack and weighed 190 pounds... and I was very active. In case your wondering. I walked 15,000 steps a day on average. This can happen to you at any age. Any fitness level. I've seen many cardiologist since and got all kinds of different opinions and they all agree. They don't know HOW I am alive.... much less have no damage to my heart. God and Bourbon. God and Bourbon. Well thank god it all worked out for you. My neighbor is young and had silent heart attacks in the Marine Corps - so I know this stuff can happen. |

They told me it carried an increased risk for death. Before that I was fairly calm. Lol. I was kinda scared after that. Lol. But held steadfast. If it's ur time to go... it's your time to go. Still. I didn't want to go :) _______________________ |

Quoting: right_foot For health reasons, I think we should all drink some bourbon tonight! I think so too. Luck and blessing go hand in hand :) Blessed are the lucky. I'm definitely gonna pour a bourbon tonight. I asked the cardiologist who done my life saving procedures if I should quit drinking bourbon and he said. "GOOD GOD WHY? It saved your life. You wouldnt be here today if you didn't drink!!!" Lol. Sound advice doc. _______________________ |

Got all worked up then bam, first my leg then my chest, then finally it grabbed my neck like I was being choked from the inside. My daughter asked if I wanted a squad but I said wait a minute. It subsided and been okay since. I try not to get so worked up anymore, 60 years young. Look 40, plenty of hair, no wrinkles, none. Just disabled like a mofo. Quoting: Beetlepumprr Take at least an aspirin a day and get a cardiologist. I ignored many signs of pain that turned out to be heart attacks. I recalled every time I had one... I was just too stubborn to go to the hospital. Each time could have been my death though. Get checked out. _______________________ |

Many deaths in their 40's from heart issues going back 100's of years on BOTH sides. I was screwed genetically. Even of my people live to be "old" - it's their hearts that get em in the end. _______________________ |

Love the taste if beer. But my body is so fucking stupid that if I drink a couple beers I'm blind drunk... if I drink half a fifth of Bourbon I can operate normally. Always been that way.
