My wife hasnt cleaned house in 11 years of marriage

She used to clean before i would come over when we werent married, but apparently that was just a trap.

So I opened the dishwasher and got intimidated. sooo many tines.. where do things go? And why does the silverware keep dropping to the bottom?

It's always too late when we find out our mate isn't who they appeared to be. It's happened to me, and I've done it to another, many years ago.

You're like my mom, there were always kitchen towels we were not to use because they were for "show." Everything was for show....a formal living room, a formal dining room, both used only once a year for Christmas...well, the piano was in the formal living room, and that's where I took my lessons, but we weren't allowed to go in there otherwise.

I dunno....seems silly to me, having stuff you can't use....

But I'm not a fancy woman, I just use what's hanging from the kitchen drawer....

Why are boomers such shit at doing basic bitch chores? My dad couldn’t a single thing to clean up the house either. My wife and I keep a very nice clean house because we both pitch in and clean on a regular basis. It ain’t hard.

Are you SERIOUS???????!!!!!! All men have lived the life of "former bachelors" at some point in their lives and those little habits they developed never leave them entirely. All it takes for them to resurface is for the Ol' Lady to be out of town for a few days!!

It is possible to hire a cleaning/maid service for one day.

This is the result when parents don't get their children involved with reality and the responsibilities that come with it. Much easier to leave them parked in front of the TV.

There are a few things I can't do due to my back, so I hire someone to help me out.

I pay her $20 p/hr - more than I make most of the time p/hr, I'm that grateful - and you'd think I just gave her the Taj Mahal....

Jeez, I called a cleaning service first, and the woman told me "We don't do that, we work in a team." Well, I don't need a team, all day, and to pay you hundreds of dollars. It's just like two to three hours of work, tops...for one person.

Can you imagine? A cleaning service that won't arrange to come clean what you need cleaning?...now that I'm thinking about it, it's boggling my mind again.

If you are really that bad at cleaning, guys, then when the wife leaves, just eat out and keep a trash can right next to your LazyBoy to catch the empty beer cans. Use only one toilet in the house. Use some Soft Scrub on the sink and toilet and Windex the mirror, front door (if you have a dog), and use a couple of wipes on the kitchen counter. Take the trash out. That way you don't actually have to clean, but she will think you did. :)

Oh, I never even considered talking back to my parents when young....
