Quoting: Goofy for God [link to www.livescience.com (secure)] an amazing article This is indeed an amazing article! One statement I find particularly disheartening, however. "The tsunami itself died out a long time ago, but the effects in Japan will be there for decades," Titov told Live Science." Blithely stating concerns for Japan's results, totally avoiding mention of what this has done to the Pacific Ocean and all [formerly] living creatures in it, the west coast of the United States, and the world-wide effects, as well, this person seems quite short-sighted or perhaps provincial. As I said in another post, a friend and I and my little dog were on the beach almost every evening right after that, and often took home items that had arrived via wave and tidal action from Japan. We had no idea the danger we were in. This, the bags, will likely receive little to no publicity here, at least not until it's too late, and people have investigated the bags, taken home any "treasures" found, and endangered themselves again. AGAIN the US dumps a lot of radioactive waste offshore California and then blames it on the Tsunami of years ago offshore Japan... sounds like corruption to me. Now when we have decent space travel... we will take the waste to the sun and dump it there... and otherwise we are being given technology which RUSSIA is developing to reuse the stuff. |

We were on the beach regularly right after that disaster before we knew the danger, and items from Japan washed up constantly. So now there will be bags, those which weren't torn open on their journey, arriving on the USA beaches. Many in this area who have no idea what's coming will be opening the bags, poking around them, out of curiosity. I shake my head at the wisdom of storing them right by a river, knowing the frequency of earthquakes and severe storms in that area. More death in the ocean. Dear God, what man has done to this beautiful natural world - I am so very sorry. No death in the ocean, relax. “ The amount of radiation that finally made it to Canada’s west coast by June 2013 was very small – less than 1 Becquerels per cubic meter. (Becquerels are the number of decay events per second per 260 gallons of water.) That is more than 1,000 times lower than acceptable limits in drinking water, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.” The Pacific ocean is huge. just because we can measure radiation doesn’t mean it has any effect on the environment. You get far more radiation in a plane trip, or a trip to Lake Tahoe, or living in a brick house, or a dental x-ray. Smoke me a kipper, I’ll be back for breakfast. I agree on the many sources of radiation and the biggest one is the SUN. Also.. we are in gamma radiation at this time from the Center of the Milky way which is why the radiation reports were REMOVED from the net. Will not removed but put out of view to the public. |
