Glad they have that video. Earlier reports say he lost his body cam during the scuffle, and they thought there was no video to prove anything beyond that.

I think what's going to happen from here on in, is that a black man will be actually shoot at a cop, the cop returns fire, and blacks will say it's the cop's fault. We're going to lose our police force eventually. No one will want to be a cop.

Back in 2000, a relative of mine was killed by a black man during a carjacking. Black man wasn't caught until three months later when a cop asked this man for ID when he looked suspicious. The black man pulled a gun and killed the young cop. Eventually, the black man was caught escaping in a car. The girlfriend told everything.

He was given a trial and found guilty. Death row. Would you believe he was given a NEW TRIAL because he said the cop pulled his gun first!

That's right, the officer should have cuffed him immediately when he realized he was inebriated. He also should have called for immediate backup and white shirts, as they now should in every instance like this, oh and an Ambulance.

I HATE alcohol, I despise it, and this is partly why. Since ancient times it has been the scourge of man-kinds true potential, and certainly in the past 100 years in particular. This really is amazing and insane at the same time. What happened in Atlanta is in noway related with racial issues. It doesn't matter if you're black, white, yellow or orange as long as you drive while inebriated. It's your right to drink but you have to accept the fact that by drinking you aren't allowed to drive by law. By doing these in combination you accept the risk of being caught and arrested by the authorities.

So now you're caught drunk and behind the wheel and police officers proceed to arrest you (and rightfully so, as you are now a public danger). And what do you do? You decide to resist arrest, then run away and as you're doing that you're pointing a gun at the police officers. After all this you ask yourself why they're shooting you?

I'm sorry but this is just plain stupid. This shooting was completely justified. There is no other way around this.

My uncle worked 12 hours a day in a sweatshop and all the guys would have a beer after work at the local bar.

He had only 3 hours of sleep and fell asleep at the bar parking lot. Woke up 2 hours later and drove home.

I don't know why we bother expecting cops to arrest anyone any more. They have a license to kill in almost any scenario and do so on a regular basis.

He blew a .108. He couldn't remember what he said he'd had to drink, which indicates he probably had a good amount to drink. He passed out in the drive thru line, which is why the cops were called, as he was blocking people and passed out. Someone (I think the cops) woke him up and he drove forward into a parking space.

I wish this all hadn't gone the way it did. The guy didn't seem to be an evil jerk at all. Just made too many bad choices in a row.

Btw, preliminary breathalyzers aren't terribly good. I actually much prefer literal field sobriety tests. PBT's can go low or high too easily.

That mayor needs to resign. To even think the police were not justified in this instance is insanity. The guy fought them for fricking ever, then fired on them with the weapon he took from the police!

Sorry BLM, this instance is justified. The police showed remarkable restraint for many minutes just trying to subdue the guy without using violent means and this is what they get for it.
