Quoting: Fluffy Pancakes Brooks fired the stolen taser at the officer and it's clear as day from surveillance video. Not good for anyone in this country that this happened. But the truth has to be of utmost importance. Yeah, it's NBC, but look....3 minutes: YOU JUST THREW THE ENTIRE BLACK RACE UNDER THE BUS. You're a disgusting racist. |

The officer was in no danger unless he tried to chase him down and shoot him at close range ,like he did. A backshooter is a special kind of scum. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 32087962 United States 06/14/2020 03:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Guy got shot in the back and killed for falling asleep in a drive through Thats what it boils down to. You have to remeber, verything that happened after the police got there would not have happened had they not behaved in the manner thye did. There is a legal principal that applies to criminal justice that if a persons actions cause another to commit a crime, the one who did so is guilty of that crime while to one compelled to do against their will is innocent. In other words if you light a guy up with a taser he is going to most like fight if he can, quite vigorously. It is EXTREMELY painful and unpleasant. It all comes down to was the level of force reasonable for a man suspected of falling asleep in line at wendys. Drunk or not thats the complaint they came on. Everything else is a jack up |

User ID: 79017304 06/14/2020 03:56 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You're incorrect. Cops and their lawyers have argued again and again that a taser is non-lethal force. Court case after court case when alleged perpetrators have died, police have escaped responsibility because tasers are non-lethal weapons. Cops getting certified to carry a taser are shot with a taser as part of the process. Because it's non-lethal. That means that when a suspect pointed a non-lethal weapon and even shot a non-lethal weapon at the cop (who had to have been certified to carry a taser because he was carrying one) that cop knew he was dealing with established non-lethal force. And unlawfully responded with deadly force against a fleeing suspect who was shot repeatedly in the back and killed. A cop can't reasonably declare a taser non-lethal while also claiming a taser made them fear for their life. A cop not in fear of losing their life has no legal justification for repeatedly shooting a fleeing suspect. |

The dead man fired the taser at the cop and missed by a country mile, then the pig opened fire. The reason the shot him is because the black guy body punched him in the face and body slammed him while he was being tasered. You can see the cop flip over backwards during the scuffle that is partially obscured by a car. The killer cop also ran into a parked car while running and firing at the guy. SHot the fucker in the back.I'm not shooting a fucker if he is running away from me, Thats what he needs to be doing |

You cannot do that while running, even if you had another cartridge. It is a contact only device after being fired, you have to touch them with the actual taser to shokc them. |

SHot the fucker in the back.I'm not shooting a fucker if he is running away from me, Thats what he needs to be doing You're correct. That's almost certainly why he REALLY shot him. But he can't say in court that he shot him to remedy a spiteful 2-second grudge resulting from his own physical weakness. The cop will claim "feared for my life," because that's generally the golden "get out of jail free" card. But not this time. Because his own certified training will validate that tasers are recognized as non-lethal and that he knew it. |
