Haven't they always said that?

Perhaps a bit too early to know for sure but looking at recent numbers it seems the next wave may have already started.... and once the restrictions are lifted next week the SAGE group can then say "Oh look, told you so, you lifted the May 17 restrictions and now cases have gone up as a result".
 Quoting: CoronaCoaster

They've had that view for awhile. The uncertainty was 'when' the third wave would happen and not 'if'. I just don't agree with the vaccine narrative and it's being pushed as a magic silver bullet. Look at the Seychelles. There are still many unknowns. Anecdotal evidence in India is showing the vaccines are not working in some of the cases. I sit firmly on the fence and will wait for more data.

The fact that Boris said to use your common sense when referring to socialising is the same mantra he used before the second wave.

Indian Covid variant calls in question 17 May reopening in UK, say experts

The dramatic rise in UK cases of a variant first discovered in India could undermine the country’s roadmap for reopening, scientists are cautioning.

The variant, called B.1.617.2, is one of three closely related variants that were initially detected in India. Public Health England designated it a “variant of concern” on Friday, acknowledging it appears to be at least as transmissible as the dominant so-called Kent variant in the UK. It is unclear if and to what extent B.1.617.2 can reduce vaccine effectiveness.

Prof Christina Pagel, director of the clinical operational research unit at University College London and a member of the Independent Sage group of experts, speaking in a personal capacity said the rise in B.1.617.2 cases was concerning enough to delay the next stage of the roadmap scheduled for Monday, when a range of restrictions are to be lifted.

I've noticed the flow of useful information from India is slowing and i think being hidden somewhat.

Its been replaced with stuff like this

But then, you do still see personal testimonies, like this.

local news here did a story where they found ppl in INDIA with connections/family in a county locally.

1 family were medical ppl. they treated their family members at home,as much as they could. had less deaths than the other. the other family sent members to hospital. all died. even those treated at home had a loss or 2 of ppl they had sent to the hospital once they got worse.

now granted, u can only treat ppl so far at home especially if u run out of oxygen or other supplies.

Months later...

Miami University scientists scanned the penis tissue of two recovered Covid patients aged 65 and 71 who were struggling to get erections.

And, in what they claimed was a world-first, they found the virus was still lingering in there more than six months after they had been ill.

One of the men was seriously ill and admitted to hospital but the other only had mild Covid, suggesting anyone infected may be at risk.

The Indian variant developed differently from other concerning variants. The variant itself emerged in mid-2020 but it has evolved gradually/mutated gradually since then which eventually gave rise to the franken strains. In contrast with the UK and Brazil variants where an insane amount of mutations appeared all at once with those variants.

i thought INDIA might have been using these already. which helepd prevent the 1st wave from going bonkers.til virus decided to mutate.

They were taking it a lot, but from what it appears this is the first time the Gov is getting involved to push it. And well... if people take the ivermectin placebo and it therefore keeps people away from spreading themselves with cow dung then maybe there could be some benefit from prescribing it after all.

Mutation of highly contagious Brazilian COVID-19 variant found in Florida

The newest variant, dubbed P2 or P.1.1, has a slightly different sequence than Brazil’s P1 strain, which has been found to be more likely to reinfect people who have already had the virus, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.

Scientists are monitoring the variant to determine how easily it spreads and whether it behaves similarly to the P1 strain.

“We have just two cases in Florida that have the extra mutation, and what that means remains to be seen,” Marco Salemi of the University of Florida’s Emerging Pathogens Institute told the newspaper. “If in a month from now we go from two cases to 500, that will be concerning.”

more reason to duck and avoid the virus and vaccine.

remember the vaccine just covers it up so u might not realizae u had 1 infection already.so now u would have 2 strikes.

way the mutations are going so far,i'd say we have 3 years before we could have a stable virus. then they can develop a vaccine for that version.until then they are shootin at the ground hoping to hit the turkey that is flying over their heads.
 Quoting: JAZZz50

Really is anyone's guess. I've seen some virologists say this virus is so early in its evolutionary path compared to other viruses that it could take hundreds of years before it becomes stable.

So we were right about the sars Cov 2 cancer risks.... but it will be without tumors. Holy fresh fucked mink coats.
