B.1.621 has been around in New England since at least April, currently 2.5% of cases. Not really a new strain, it's been around just as long as Delta.

And this is the thing that I warned about many times much earlier in the thread. That yes ok the vac might reduce the overall level of deaths... but the hospitals will still be getting overwhelmed and once there is no more room available for patients the deaths numbers will shoot up again.

Did you see my post earlier with that interview of the hospital administrator? 96% of hospitalized were unvaccinated.

Of coarse the vaccines aren't going to do anything to keep the unvaccinated from clogging the hospitals.
