Ok, pretend you are in charge. You want to close borders. Tell me how that would work with imports/exports, suspension of all shipping traffic, etc? How does that not nosedive the economy as badly as lockdowns have? It is easy enough to see what is the best course of action, in theory it is, but implementing it is a whole other ballgame. It's easy to call it deliberate, but if you don't start figuring out how the rest of the sytem should function once it is closed, then you aren't any better at solving this nightmare then they are.

The very fact that Republicans and Democrats make it into this conversation is SLOPPY.

You can think in those terms and that’s why we failed. Not a single person was able to let go of political anger at the levels we needed. Not a single General, Admiral, or Executive Services Member.
