80% of UK adults have had the first injection and 58% have had two. I’d guess that around 95% of admissions have had either zero or one injection.

I’ve had zero by the way. I’m a wait-and-see sceptic, not a never-vaxxer.

Im in my 50s with a history of autoimmune problems and bad reactions to common medications, so I’m being cautious regarding the injections and the virus.

"A new mutation has arrived, a new strain is active. It's more aggressive, it's harder to recover from, it spreads faster. It's much more likely to penetrate a person's immune system," Sobyanin said, according to the RIA news agency.

Even if we tried to answer this question, defining which vaccine is "best" is not simple. ...

The reinfection testing is a failure....

Unless they checked poop - there is an inherent normalcy bias going on. Folks are assuming that reinfection will occur and testing will always work.

CC--- people are making a LOT of assumptions about this virus, and it is just helping to confuse matters further.

Reinfections absolutely can and do happen, though to what degree remains unclear. Hang in there guys, the bumpy ride continues.

Actually, most viruses don't ever clear the body -- they are just kept in remission by a healthy immune system. That's why immunosuppressed folks start showing up with all kinds of active viruses later in life.

This virus may well disable the immune system, and stay active, as well as reactivating others and opening the door to opportunistic pathogens.

What are COVID-19 symptoms for the so-called Delta variant?

Per the New York Post, there are a wide range of symptoms that people suffer if they’re infected with the Delta variant (which was originally discovered in India) of COVID-19. Symptoms include:

Stomach pain
Nausea
Vomiting
Loss of appetite
Hearing loss
Joint pain
New symptoms for COVID-19 in Delta variant:
Dr. Ganesh Manudhane, a Mumbai cardiologist, told Bloomberg News there’s a newer symptom he has had to treat patients for when it comes to the Delta variant — small blood clots.

“I saw three to four cases the whole of last year, and now it’s one patient a week,” Manudhane told Bloomberg.
Manudhane told Bloomberg he was surprised to find that the patients had no coagulation problems before getting COVID-19.

“We suspect it could be because of the new virus variant,” he said.

is it? or could it b the progression of the virus itself? reason i ask is we have heard many clot cases but mainly blamed on vaccines. it is possable we have crossed data.

hypothetical or brainstorming- the virus gets inside someone and does damage. inside it mutates. it could cause clots. mix with vax =cause more of them or larger 1's.

the DELTA could b an advanced version of what is inside many ppl that have been infected already.meaning it is doin the clots sooner than what the other versions have done.

or they could b caused by the combo of the virus and vax.

just cause u think u see a dog ,does not mean that dog is a wolf. could b coyote. need more research to know.

Some data on the vax/unvaxxed in hospital in the UK.

Only from the BBC.

This is a rise of 423 on the previous week, according to the data from Public Health England.

Of the 806 hospitalisations:

527 (65%) people were unvaccinated
135 (17%) were more than 21 days after their first dose of vaccine
84 (10%) were more than 14 days after their second dose.

As of 14 June, there have been 73 deaths in England of people who were confirmed as having the Delta variant and who died within 28 days of a positive test.

Of the 73 deaths:

34 (47%) were unvaccinated
10 (14%) were more than 21 days after their first dose of vaccine
26 (36%) were more than 14 days after their second dose.

So once again more deaths in the vac group
26% died in the vac group
About 6% from the unvac

But does show the drop in hosptial admissions.
