I went to a BofA in California, took out 8K no questions asked.

Happened to me twice in the last few months. I buy and flip cars, 4wheelers, jet-skis etc. So, I buy in cash a few grand at a time. They had to call manager in to authorize me getting money and they needed to now what it was for.

My go-to answer is that I just got a really good deal on a miniature pony.

Legally it's the Bank's money and they can ask anything they want

i asked one of the managers there once about something, she entered my bank account # and instantly pulled up every transaction on my card so,

they already know every purchase you make, probably with cash too, get serious. those radioactive watermarks, those strips in the $100's, they are probably tracable

All banks will ask what its for if the amount is over 10k in cash. I believe the IRS forces them to.

I swear, before I try anything that might seem the slightest bit dodgy, I'm posting on GLP first to get ideas from peeps like you on how to avoid prosecution prejudice.

The IRS is supposed to report any cash withdrawals of $3,000 or more. There is a limit on money orders, even through the local grocery store's service counter. The limit is $300 a day. Any more than that and they have to report that also.

And now you both know why Paypal, motherfuckers that they are, is popular.

I wrote a rather large check a few months back and the manager of the local Truist branch called me and I believe he was wanting me to volunteer what I spent the money for. He asked me if I was actually the person who wrote the check and wanted to make sure there was no fraudulent activity on my account. There was no way that I was going to tell him what I had bought, but I did confirm that it was an authorized, legitimate transaction.

Oh, and the check had already cleared.
