Your assumptions are unfounded. Most Christians I know don't do things for others because they fear "hell". More or less, they are people after God's heart and approval by treating others as they would want to be treated, regardless of how they are ACTUALLY treated by people, like yourself, who try to put them all in some deluded little box.

OP, read the Apocalypse of Peter and the book "Love Wins". It will give you even more resources to defend your position that indeed "hell" isn't eternal and in the end God's love prevails just as Jesus says

"If I be lifted up I will draw ALL MEN unto me."

Look at the word "draw" in Greek....it means "to drag towards yourself" as a fisherman does a fish.

It's also a first class "if" in Greek meaning "if...and it's TRUE what is being said".

"All" is panta in Greek and means "all or every last one".
"Men" of course means people not just males.
So a corrected translation would be...

"If I be lifted up, and it's TRUE I will be lifted up, then I will DRAG every last
Person unto myself"

So the reason Jesus did not talk about it, is because his audience were Jews and already knew there was a eternal Heaven and eternal Hell, from the Old Testament authors and their religious teachings.
So when Gentile try to understand a Jewish book without using the Jewish culture and religion as context, you get lunacy.

You go to Hell if you're in debt with the Lord. You have credit cards of grace, favor and mercy. One way of getting out of debt is speaking the truth. In Hell you will slowly get out of debt that you didn't do here on Earth. All I know the wicked people will be tormented in hell for all eternity to repay the debt that they owe to the Lord.

To have to repay an infinite amount of debt would require an infinite lifetime to accrue it.
