Definitely no sodas, sugar doses before bed. I mean really. Clear your mind. Works every time. You need to study whats coming, in the book of Enoch 1. There then will be no more fear, no more concerns only excitement. You will then sleep |

Read about each one's side effects before trying. Some of them effect your thyroid as well and should not be taken for long periods at a time or at all. Some of them effect blood pressure and you should be cautious if your blood pressure is already fine. Hawthorn affects heart rate and if your heart rate is fine then you should probably avoid it. So does Valerian root. I stand by this list as someone that have studied herbs and natural remedies for many years. I have taken them as whole herb, tincher, extract, and tea; all the herbs listed are found to relieve stress, anxiety and aide in sleep. Hawthorn and Valerian root calms and protect the heart. The diuretic action of some of the herbs listed are mild. Too much of a good thing may cause side effects, always be prudent when taking medicinal herbs and consult your physician on what herbs your taking. . WTH is going on?? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26070550 I just talked to my sister yesterday and she said she and her husband can't sleep for the past two weeks. Quoting: Deplorable Zenobia Oh, and take a magazine or book to bed to read. Sure fire way of falling asleep. I just got some. I'm amazed. This is all the high I was ever looking for. It's just like the relaxation part after the THC headbuzz wears off. That's all I ever wanted. I'd get anxiety with weed sometimes and now I don't have to go through that to get to where I want to be. |

If you don't like the thunder, they have ones of just rain. I sleep really well when it's raining. So i decided to try leaving this running all night and it really helps me! Remove the TV from the bedroom, Pick a bed time were you go to the bed and stay in the bed for 6 hours, besides administrative tasks such as bathroom, and security checks. If you watch the exterior cameras on your phone that is the only god damn reason you look at it for the security checks, and it goes right back to airplane mode. Stay in the bed and pretend your sleeping and those racing intrusive thoughts are a dream. Control your self and stay in that damn bed unless you have an administrative task. diphenhydramine 100mg about 40 mins before you assign the task of pretending to sleep works good but can easily become habitual. Good luck, self control, don't depend on drugs. |

User ID: 8862443 United States 09/21/2019 09:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A lot of my friends and myself are having a helluva time sleeping of late. WTH is going on?? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26070550 I was reading about the 5G rollout and they were talking about these communication frequencies in general, and giving some really technical information about how they mess up the way your body is able to utilize calcium. I've always known that magnesium is super important for your brain and your whole nervous system among other things and that our diets are depleted in magnesium and that what little there is is hard to assimilate. I took magnesium for a long time and didn't take calcium because I thought I was getting enough calcium from my diet and I thought I wasn't reacting well to it when I did take it. Now I've been gradually taking more calcium and reading more about it. I'm even upping it more just in the last few days and taking a chewable one before bed along with magnesium. Just lately I increased the calcium intake at night and have been sleeping through the night much better. For a long time I was taking an herb called wild lettuce along with melatonin and I did think it helped me sleep for sure but I think it made me slow and groggy the next day. The calcium increase doesn't seem to be having that effect so I"m going to stick with it for a while, with magnesium too of course, (and vitamin D, vitamin K, and everything else). |

Just get a book and read. If you start yawning and put the book down but find your mind working too much, just pick it up and read more. I function best with about 4-5 hrs sleep so you may be one of those who do better with less sleep. I gave up trying to sleep so I just keep doing things all night til I get sleepy. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 69872813 United States 09/21/2019 10:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | things I discovered regarding treating insomnia include 1) besides toxic black mold found behind my drywall from water damage in my bedroom (which initially caused burning eyes but quickly resolved until three months later when sudden onset insomnia started out of nowhere)...my bed was also very old and somewhat moldy 2) I was eating excess protein and not enough carbohydrates, which research has shown can interfere with the transfer of tryptophan into the brain and the production of serotonin (feeling tired after thanksgiving dinner is likely due to excessive fat consumption). 3) Our modern diets are unnaturally low in fiber, most importantly soluble fiber, which is needed to prevent resorption of lipophilic toxins excreted in the bile, in other words the fiber disrupts the enterohepatic cycle, greatly reducing the half life time of the toxins in the body. Good sources of soluble fiber I found include fruits like apples, oranges, berries, vegetables like sweet potatoes, squash, beans like black beans, kidney beans, chickpeas (I try getting pouched or canned organic with minimal sodium, and mix with other food). Good fiber supplements I found include psylum husk, as well as FBCx such as Lipid Ease by Adaptogen Research, and Mimosa Pudica Seed such as by Microbe Formulas. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 2544713 United States 09/21/2019 11:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've had insomnia since my teenage years, 42 now. I still use same technique today. I emerse my mind in made up alternate worlds. I also read a lot so that helps with expanding them. I am usually in a dream like state most of my sleep, and wake up easily, but fall asleep easier. Whatever you do, don't use drugs, tried it, they make you numb to the real world. |
