I heard cars in the US are not great with Gas mileage vs cars in Europe where you can sometimes get double the mpg with the same type of car. Is this a myth? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78235189 In America we like to drive the biggest thing we can buy at absurd speeds on the highway. Just my observation. If we're talking about the same model car between shores, then there isn't much difference aside from some pollution controls to be complaint wherever the car is sold. |

Quoting: Joe in JT 75049243 I have a 2001 Chevy Astro Van with a 4.3 L motor. My mechanic says it's "a workhorse" ... is that true. I have it perfectly tuned up. All premium parts on all my repairs. I bought it two years ago with 108,000 miles and now I have 121,000 miles. I want to get 400,000 miles out of it. Can I ??? ............. Very possible! I'd schedule in a timing chain replacement in the near future. That seems to be the only thing that will stop one. |

If "Little Bastard" was never delivered to George Barris , then where is it? Another question: I have a dsm 6g72 3.0 liter twin turbocharged engine that has less than 35,000 miles on it. How much boost can it make without encountering head lift? Good question. Probably parted out, or haunting a race track somewhere. As far as the Mitsu, I'd hit the forums for that car and see what people are getting away with, or more importantly, not. Bigger turbos will always make more power with the same or less boost over strangling the oem ones. |

Radios and amps wired incorrectly. Next is the dome lights left on. Or the battery could be sulphated and drawing itself down internally. Rear wipers rotting, going bad, and not fully parking. Sounds similar to a slipping belt. Doesn't matter if she's turning or going straight ahead, it will chip somewhat rhythmically if it's moving. The chirping seems to start about, maybe, 5 minutes after engaging 4x4. It has the OEM automatic locking hubs, which I've heard were junk even in 1989. Do you think switching to manual hubs might solve it? Probably have a driveshaft U joint that's dried out. Look for the one with the bright orange dust/rust coming out around the trunion. Get a long screwdriver or dowel and place it on different accessories and press your ear against it. Injectors are firing, replaced the injectors, replaced coil and module, has compression, has spark, removed head and surfaced (was slightly warped), ground the valves new gasket. The cam is opening the valves, no wires in the harness are broken, has new good gas, still no fire. Oh new, plugs and wires are a given. Changed the plug wires twice, no vacuum leaks, no obstruction in the intake, have gapped the plugs @ .025, .040, .060, and .080. The plugs are getting gas on them. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 77640440 United States 12/08/2019 05:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi. I have a 2013 Volkswagen Golf TDI. The wheels have begun to wobble really badly (really bad from 30-40mph and around 60-70mph). I thought it was my rims because my dealership told me I had 3 bent rims (confirmed at tire shop), so just yesterday I bought 4 brand new aftermarket rims. But now it wobbles even worse! Any idea what could be causing this? Tires are all fairly new with one being only 2-3 months old. It seems to have a "noisy" front end and yesterday while I was driving around with the windows down (I live in South Texas), I could hear a clicking sound. Alignment is good. Any ideas? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77784968 Thanks in advance.... You might have a tire or two with a ripped or shifted belt. This make the car "wobble" usually at 10-20 mph as the tire isn't really round anymore.. My car loves doing this to it's tires. I am an aggressive driver, and it's heavy so that's probably part of my problem. It's possible you have a wheel bearing or suspension issue as well. |
