Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78686927 They messed things up by allowing the Mardi Gras parades to go on. I believe that after Mardi Gras every year , New Orleans always has the world's highest infection rate of many, many viruses. "Be like water my friend”- Bruce Lee |

"They don't think I need to get tested unless I develop a fever," the 39-year-old texted her boyfriend, Josh Anderson. "All looks well." Ott, a Claremont native who moved to New Orleans five years ago, was finally tested a week later, on March 16. She was told she would have to wait for the results. Anderson offered to bring her pho, but she said she didn't have an appetite. She was tired, and asked him to walk her dog, Zola. Two days later, she texted: "I just don't understand why I don't feel much better yet." Two days after that, Anderson found her collapsed in her kitchen, dead. “She died on the day she was supposed to get the results,” said family friend Carol Coalson, of San Diego, Ott's foster mother, who had just visited her last month to celebrate Mardi Gras. She tested negative. I have some cousins in Avoyelles Parish, great and beautiful place with lots of history and friendliest people I love it there. Hope everyone there is okay. Quoting: Peepaws Just bought a house in avoyelles. My kids here. Live in Bunkie. My ex knows all 5 cases in avoyelles. 3 are at her church. Lone pine assembly Oh wow! I’m in Bunkie too. Chicot State Park, Bayou Segnette and Lake Bistineau have been tagged as additional regional medical staging areas. Because of its proximity to New Orleans, Bayou Segnette State Park is being staged as a overflow isolation area for coronavirus cases. Lake Bistineau, near Doyline, is also being used for coronavirus case isolation. On Monday, Grand Isle State Park was officially closed to visitors. All beaches and public areas were closed following the recommendations of the Grand Isle mayor and town council. |

Of course I live just north of there ... It is sad! : ( Remember Vitamin C and especially liposomal Vitamin C and Vitamin D3 with K2 is your friend. I take 1000 mg of liposomal Vitamin C daily after eating. If I start to feel bad, I up my dosage to 5000 mg in every few hour increments daily. They say you can take more Vitamin C (up to 10,000 mg) but I am not comfortable doing it. The Vitamin D3 with K2 should only be taken according to the package dosage. |

User ID: 76604177 United States 03/26/2020 08:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Mom has COPD. Said she was feeling bad for the last several days, and said she could not breathe! so I tried to do teledoc, and again that crap does not work. So I hauled her to the ER at the Lake. It was nuts. I had to leave her, and give them my number, and then she admitted to another relative that she just "wanted to get out". I guess she thought I would take her to a doctor visit. Anyway, she threw a fit, and I had to speak to a social worker. Mom has bi-polar, so this kind of stuff is normal for her. I have no idea if they tested her for covid. So I had to put her in quarantine in a local nearby hotel. I know it's kinda crazy, but the social worker and nurses suggested it since the hospital is a hot zone of sorts. I am so over this. |

We seem to be unfocused and all over the place. I also notice that Pres Trump only mentions - Washington, NY and California over and over again, when we are on fire. Our entire state is nearly infected. Quoting: girlie45 I know. I wish we could send a journalist to sit in that room and ask if any of them know anything about Louisiana? I feel the same way. I know they aren't doing contact tracing because we had a positive case at work. The company says they contacted everyone that had contact with the coworker but I know for a fact that they did not. Where are you? Do you happen to work at a plant? Because I know the plants are just "ignoring" the issue. |
