No screening at the door except for "Hey bro, any symptoms?" No temp gun, nothing. Fair question, happy to answer. Mask? Sure. Didn't expect otherwise. Was asked about symptoms when I arrived, no mention at any time after that, nobody even brought up my vax status. Emergency ward was not overwhelmed, in the time I was there nobody arrived with covid symptoms, but lots of drug overdoses, accident injuries and heart attacks the night I spent in ER, but no respiratory emergencies. I even asked if they have a special ward for those cases and was told no. A nurse confided to me that they aren't really seeing covid cases, but neurology and cardiac are very busy, I asked if this is since the vaccinations started and he just winked at me. They had separate EVERYTHING for the blacks. They went to the back of the streetcar. Montgomery Ward, I remember, on Monroe St had a bathroom for the whites, and another for the "coloreds". We called them the colored people, not blacks or that other word you can't say, similar to the (n-word). If somebody got mad at them, or about them, there was a whole dictionary full of words for them, though. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 73087435 United States 09/18/2021 11:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This was my experience in an urgent care in Texas. I was severely ill…coughing so bad I couldn’t even talk. Snot dripping out of my nose. Not pretty I know. But the point is I was visibly sick as a dog…no mention of vaccine, no ask if I had it. I did get a covid test because of my work rules…but I’m not joking when I saw the doctor got all up in my face wiping snot from my nose. It was actually kinda nice for a change. I felt like wow these people are not treating me like I have the plague. So yeah. I wonder why urgent care is different? Maybe they see something we don’t. |

I was there for abdominal pain caused by dehydration. No mention of covid or Vax status. The only one requiring the mask was the receptionist. Once I was admitted, I took the mask off. Doc cake in and I was trying to get the mask back on; his reply, and I'm paraphrasing, "don't worry about that shit, you're perfectly fine without it." Anonymous Coward User ID: 73822952 United States 09/18/2021 11:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I went to the ER the other day myself. 5am wake up and my right flank and back were in incredible pain, I couldn't stand up straight for even 2 minutes. I thought maybe my appendix, or kidney was on the verge of exploding it hurt that bad. So I took myself to the ER. Keep in mind it was about 6am. There was nobody in there whatsoever, HOWEVER there was a news crew outside. Now the ER lady at the front was nice enough to fill out the computer touch screen check in for me, they took my blood pressure and had me take a seat. The local news was on and to my surprise there it was the hospital I was at with the news lady ranting about 8 hour long waits because of the high amount of people coming in for covid. There was literally one other person inside the waiting area at that time, it was a fat black girl with a white blanket over her sleeping on a bench. So I waited ruffly an hour, they took my blood and had me give a urine sample. Waited about 45 more minutes to see a doctor. Doctor said I had no signs of infection, my blood pressure was good, and my HEMOGLOBIN levels were great. I guess he mentioned that because covid screws that up and that is how they checked to see if I had been infected with covid. Anyways I spent about another 2 hours getting imaging tests done, having the doctor feel around to see what the problem was. Turns out I had an ulcer. Great I straight away feel much better knowing it's not my appendix about to burst or a problem with my kidney. It's now about 11am and I go to leave and am walking out into the waiting area. There's now a total of 5 people in there, all FAT black girls sleeping on benches with blankets over them. Anyways that was my experience. The TV news media is flat out lying their asses off. That being said I said a prayer for the hospital and the nurses, they were all very kind to me and really did do everything they could to try to find out why I was in so much pain. I've noticed people always talking shit about the nurses and doctors but I don't believe these people are in on the scam for the most part. Remember they are the ones who helped bring you into the world, and when you're about to die they will be the ones there as well trying to keep you here. Good people they deserve praise. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76840612 One day while I was in hospital I went for one of the recommended walks around the ward and realized I didn't put a mask on. There were several nurses at the station and when I exclaimed "O God, I forgot my mask, I'm going to get you all killed" They all chuckled and someone calmly got me a mask. The Dr. made no mention of anything Covid at all. Was totally treated with respect and humanity at an otherwise dark time in our society. Just a quick report from the streets. Metro Detroit, Michigan. I've been to our local equivalent Emergency Room the last three days and I have another visit again later today. I have an infection that requires IV antibiotics. The mask thing is expected and the hospital give you one of theirs to put on. First visit no mention of covid or vax by any of the medical staff. Second visit I was asked if I had any covid concerns, I said no. I was then asked if i had been vaxxed, again I said no and also offered that I wasn't going to be. Nurse treating me just said 'ok'. Third visit last night no mention again. During my treatment i was sat in a secondary waiting room hooked up to the drip. There were four other people in there with me waiting for a treatment room to become available. A lady in a wheelchair was wheeled in and they sat her and her husband down next to me as she was in for IV also. They hooked her up and left. Her husband and another guy struck up a conversation and they got around to the vax. Both (late 60s/early 70s at a guess) were fervent backers of getting vaxxed and that the vax passports were absolutely essential. Both agreed that the ICUs were full of 'mainly unvaccinated people'...it was like watching CTV or CNN. Interestingly, the guy (who wasn't accompanied by his wife) was in for a 'rash from head to toe' that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. I got that from a conversation he and his wife had while we were in a different waiting room. Apparently he'd already been to his family doctor who passed it off as a 'summer rash', whatever the fuck that is. I so wanted to ask him when his last vax was and then plant the seed that his rash and the vax may very well be related but I kept quiet. User ID: 79736903 United States 09/18/2021 11:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Went to doctor for a sinus infection 8 days ago. At front desk they asked had I had covid or symptoms in last 2 weeks or a positive test. I said no and there was no more mention of it. My doctor and I discussed the vaccine back in early January- I brought it up not him. He agreed with my stance (no long term studies on vaxx and my history of allergic reactions) and told me that I knew my own body better than anyone and needed to do or not do what I feel is right for me. My doctor is one of the good ones. My fear is that the practice he belongs to may mandate that patients cannot be seen without vaxx soon. I am a heart patient, diabetic and have mild asthma. If this happens it will most likely not end well for me. I am preparing myself for this as best I can. |

Expect a 10 thousand dollar medical bill just for walking in the door though =/ The cost of healthcare in the US is extremely bad. Many people will live their entire lives with chronic pain and sickness just to avoid the high costs of treatment. If there is 1 thing I agree with the the left on it's that the US needs some form of universal care for citizens. At least to cover basic check-ups at a primary care doctor. By doing this one thing many millions of people could be living a much healthier life. If the left wasn't completely retarded about the way they approach this problem the US would have some system in place already. They want universal healthcare but they also want to attach it to LGBTQ rights, illegals, gibs, and all types of other things. Something that would be doable but they always go way overboard and turn it into something entirely not doable and would destroy the entire country. |

The FDA’s booster shot review yeatersay brought to light some very troubling statistics. Now that its on record, maybe we’ll see more doctors speaking out. Being a whistleblower towards the CDC will get you ostracized and doctors will avoid diagnosing or diacovering anything with you. Why? Most have taken the Hippocratic oath and when you bring something to their attention that they cannot treat due to CDC guidelines, well, theyre in between a rock and a hard place. |
