That situation did not meet the threshold for use of deadly force.

If the store owner also is not a trained officer or anything, I don't know to what level that will be held against him.

If he ever served in the military, some role that taught what "use of deadly force was, or ever went to a concealed carry class then I think he could definitely be convicted of 1st deg manslaughter.

Thing is, there was 2 robbers and you have no idea if they are armed or not. You are 1 person against 2 making a split decision with a whole lot of fear based adrenaline pumping through your veins.

It could have easily gone the other way, he could have hesitated and one of them could have been armed and killed him. He made a decision where he lived and the attacker died. As a person, I don't fault him for that.

Guy going to probably have nightmares for the rest of his life. Stabbing someone is different than shooting someone. You feel as the blade hits bones, ligaments, tissues. It's not pulling a trigger. A knife fight is terror shared.

He was impressive. Excellent situational awareness as he was watching the accomplice reach over the counter to steal something, on his right, when the black bloc guy came over the counter on his left. Clerk shifted gears and moved like lighting on that punk.

A clearly menacing individual stepped behind the counter, the "victim" unable to flee was forced into a panicked "fight-mode"...

The thug is a weapon himself. How many head stomping videos have we seen when the storekeeper fails to defend himself? 100% completely justified.

The thug had numerous chance to flee, but chose to charge the storekeepr instead. Once he force himself past the defensive barrier, the storekeepr had no more barriers and had to use the weapon.

Nope. Perhaps that's a British thing and, also, we're not talking about an arrest where we would like to see "reasonable". When your life could be in danger, and the clerk had every reason to believe that his could be, there is only force to stop the threat, whatever that may be. The clerk could have shot the punk in the head but he apparently didn't have a gun so he neutralized the threat in the manner that he could and he did an awesome job of it.

No. It was an idiot who went into a store in a mask and jumped the counter. The store owner has no way of knowing if this fucking idiot has a firearm or a knife.

Once he intiated the use of deadly force with a knife, his choice was let him go, and maybe he draws a gun, or finish the fucking job. His pleas are irrelevant.

How many people has this little son of a bitch mugged or assaulted that were begging for help? How many young Asian girls cry into their pillow while bloated, white men write on them for sexual pleasure?
